Errrrrr, when did we play poorer opposition than us last season.

I was shocked when my son reminded me of the starting lineup at the start of last season in the PL…

Even I would say the team was holding me back.

Might not be a popular view but I think Souza will be outstanding in the midfield next season.
However one looks at shortcomings this summer, they pale in comparison to the calamity that had us starting a top flight game with that side. Our expected starting XI for Preston, playing at a level below, beats that team comfortably.

Fulham have apparently pulled out of the McTominee deal so could come with a second offer . Can't see this happening before any takeover completion
If the "new owners" were reluctant to sell osula and take control before the window shuts ,selling vini in the 1st week or so wouldn't be a good look , especially if he starts the season well.
In that case we could have vini remaining and hopefully being a key player this season.

not a fan of souza but playing at a lower level and us having a lot more possesion he could be a very good player for us this season although still think we will sell if any decent bid comes in
Think you’re right - especially the last 7 words , and especially if you remove the word decent .

haha know what you mean but we dont give players away anymore so for me its minimum 12m or he stays here

That line-up v Palace truly set the tone for the season. The stuff of nightmares!
It'll be interesting to see if after transfer deadline day our team still looks better than the one we put out away at Everton (just after deadline day last season).

If he stays with us this season, knuckles down and quietly does his job, then I think he’ll redeem himself somewhat.

He had more than just the one decent game that many speak of, but struggled to get fit initially and then his head went, more noticeably than others that were equally as shite.

Those comments, translated didn’t really help him as he was clearly under performing, albeit in a terrible side that was down before Xmas bar the mathematics.

Clean slate for all this season, Anel, Souza, Trusty, Osula if he stays, many of the rest have fooked off. They get at least a game to show their true colours, pound their chest, kiss the badge and fist pump the air after rescuing a point at Preston in the 98th minute…

Except Grbic, he’s shite. Brian Clough wouldn’t even have had him in as a ringer in his sons Sunday league side

Other clubs can get deals doe fast compared to us, Ramsdale was all just in a few days so this could be the same.

Maybe , point being that if the ownership is with the EFL final stage I can't see anyone ( PA or new) making that decision.

I wonder wether the players who were looking for the exit door (Anel, Souza) have had assurance of better contracts under the new ownership regime.

Atleast we had a keeper back then......

maybe also insurances about quality players coming in which is now happening anel if he can get his head back on could be the best centre back in the championship and souza and arblaster the best 2 defensive midfielders in the championship

I always find it fascinating when people are so binary in their hatred for a player.

Binary suggests my opinion will never change from one or the other, which isn’t the case. I appreciate players who try and give their all for the club, but my original post is my current thoughts based on evidence of last season.

Involved in latest signing video which suggests:

He wasn’t in Manchester airport to get spotted by a gimp

&

His departure probably isn’t imminent

After his performances in pre season he's gotta be worth £35m now surely 😁

Is he a good footballer? Yes, there's definitely a talented player there.

Is he suited to English football? That remains to be seen.
Strength, skill, pace is the main ingredients that top premier league players have. He’s got a bit of them all but doesn’t have the work ethic yet or positional awareness
