The quote about having to push to the end of the transfer window to see what they can do, or might be able to do doesn't bode well for any incoming new players soon. It pretty much stamps the word "NOPE" across all rumours.

This club is a ****ing joke.

Last season I'd pretty much lost interest before a ball was kicked, and I'm starting to feel the same way again. I'm slowly losing interest in Sheffield United full stop thanks to our shitty owner.

I walked away when Blackwell was manager and didn't return until he left, and I'm starting to feel the same about the Clown Prince of bog roll.

It's a shame. An absolute shame what this club once proud club had turned into.

I get what you’re saying but nothing has really changed. It’s just Sheffield United doing Sheffield Unitedy things.

We can’t have nice things and we can’t be successful because it will always end up in failure.

Sounds like the board has broken Wilder in the same way Hecky was broken last pre season.

Pretty stark interview that one.

Yup. Morale was damaged by that preseason - certain players saw it all unfolding and gave up. All we could have hoped for was respectability, but even that was far out of reach without spirit in the camp.

Only new signings can stop that happening again. But Wilder reiterates its small fees at best, so without sales, it’s stasis.

Can you imagine the morale in the changing room when they look around for some senior players and see kids sat next to them?!

If the first 11 don’t perform we’ve got less bench options than last season in terms of game changing ability in the league we’ll be playing in.

As it stands, if we maintain the injury record of the last few seasons, it’s a relegation fight due to the absence of depth, the hangover of last year, and the loss of leaders from the squad.

I do think we’ll strengthen further, of course, but even if we sell Osula, I don’t quite know how we fill all the gaps in order to challenge the top 6. I still expect two of Hamer, Souza and Anel to depart, and we need to do that soon, which possibly means accepting a reduced bid. Clubs know our position.

Oh, and do we think we’re building that training ground whilst this situation rolls on?

We’re still gonna piss this league so we are, we’re just too full of quality and the lads will fight tooth and nail with passion for Chris like they did the last time we were in the Championship so they did.

The key word in that whole interview was “when”. He said when players sign, not if.

So hopefully Wilder is at least positive that players will be joining before the deadline at least.

It’ll be a case of better late than never, which is far from ideal.

Wish our forwards were as hard to pin down as CW. Yet another one with his hands tied behind his back before a ball is kicked.
Trying to keep positive in a sea of shit.

He’s got to say that. There is no way we can’t sign players.

But yet again, too late.

One of the most professional interviews I've seen a manager give. He looked like he was livid and depressed about the situation. Instead of letting it out he took a breath and composed himself time and time again. The interviewer did a great job, to the extent it seemed a bit cruel at times.

As Mr Thornton said, the back door has been bricked up now.

You reap what you sow, he had it good, almost God status and and then spat his dummy out, he didn't think it through in the Covid season did he? What's he going to do now?

He's got no option but to be all in now, with no mardy arse exit this time, it's clearly not going to plan, It's make or break for the Bladey Blade Magician. I hope he pulls it off.

It’s why he’s been hitting the Peroni so hard down Woodseats so he has.

You are not on your own mate but there are those on here who think he is a good owner and will not have nothing wrong said about him .God knows how anyone can defend how he is running this club . FOR GOD SAKE F--K OFF PRINCY BABY While there is some sort of club left

Striker x1

Minimum before Friday, absolute minimum.
From Wilders interview tonight I don’t think even he expects that to happen. He must now be regretting ever coming back….The Prince is getting his revenge now big time. Wilder is stuck - as he knows if he resigns he’s probably only ever going to get a League 1/2 job in the future.

Mind you if Wilder did walk The Prince would struggle to get anyone to come in right now and work under these constraints.

Getting his revenge !!!! is that what you think it is ? While ruining the club .The prince should get on his bloody knees and kiss Wilders feet for putting up with hs shambolic running of OUR football club because no other manager worth his salt would tolerate it .

Decent following from Sheffield !! Zero sympathy from me. He came back into a job and here we go again. Fuck me he doesn’t change. Joke. Yes the board is the same but Chris gets zero from me. Just fuck off.

I hope he does fuck off but not for the reason you are on about . This club does not deserve a loyal united fan banging his head against a bloody wall trying his best to run the bloody thing while having to put up with this arsehole con man who owns it .
