Kyle 'Blade' Walker

All round with all the qualities you want in a RB I would say so, I think a lot would argue for Trent because of the passing/crossing but he gets done in pretty regularly. Walker seems a brick wall against even the quickest/trickiest wingers as well as having good attacking output.
Always thought Trent were a premier league wingback when attacking.. championship wingback when defending. Really don’t get the hype for him personally.

If we went back up in the next 2 years, maybe we get a season of him, but he doesn't seem to be slowing down (literally) so apart from for the fun, why would be come to us. Someone with more money would easily take him on as back up.
coz hes a blade obviously,if any of us were a footballer and made loads of money elsewhere wouldn't you want to play for united for one more season before you retire, started with us and wants to end with us not many can say they've done that.

Why do people call Trent Alexander-Arnold by his first name, but any other footballer by their surname? You wouldn't call Alan Shearer 'Alan' or Ian Wright 'Ian'.
Probably because Alexander-Arnold is longer to type and you’d struggle to name another player with the first name ‘Trent’

People do it when speaking as well though. My lad does it. If it's because it's double-barrelled and long, then why don't people call Kyle Walker-Peters just Kyle?

Trenton Wiggan was faster then Arnold

As its embarrassing saying Trent because its a rubbish name ?

Maybe because there's fewer well-known people called Trent, than Alan or Ian?

Always like to get a view from others on kyle

The city forum goes from hero when they secured the league ...... to complete bellend who should never play on a city shirt again after the cup final... apparently he congratulated the man u players.

Those city fans really have insecurity issues .

I'd have him back anytime

Of course you wouldn't know you'd Been fishing in the wrong pond, trent is a nod to the river trent, that's where his mum and dad met Mrs Alexander and Mr Arnold both fished on a fur and feather at Dunham bridge many years ago, she took the ladies sweep as the only woman and he got biggest fish prize..

That's how they met, inseparable on the way home on the bus.

He won't be called anything but Trent..

Don't get me started on the Reznors, and thier argument about eels and pike in the match regulations and how they weigh in..

We'll get promoted next season, spend another year consolidating our position in the premier league, and the following 26/27 season we'll have Walker as right back and Maguire as centre back.

YHIHF.

I think this, with footballers especially, is a perfect demonstration of how people with tons of money are somehow hardwired to always want more. Not that I blame them it should be said, I cannot imagine having millions of pounds so I have no idea how i'd react if I did.

But Kyle is worth (per google) a bit south of £30m quid. He's set for life, regardless of what he does now. Him, his (many) children, his family and his mates will all be sorted. The only reason he has to keep going at the top level is he wants more money, or maybe (in the case of England) he wants to win an international trophy to complete his set.

I'd like to think that, was I in his position, I'd come home for a couple of years and play for the blades for a token wage, or for free. But realistically, who could say they would? Who would turn down another couple of years at £150k or so per week?

I'd love to see him play for us again while he's still good enough for it to be anything but a token appearance, but I doubt he will. He's still a world class player, and will want to reap as much of the rewards that that brings as he can.

Load of rubbish. Trenton Wiggan was his Dads best mate and he always called him Trent because he couldn’t pronounce Trenton when he was little.

Don't bring the wiggans into all this, it's bad enough

Had to recheck his age today and whilst on the Jude Bellingham thread, had to have a look at some stats for him. Apart from his off the field indiscretions, he's quietly gone about his career and won shit loads....

But at 34, watching him put the after burners on last night against Serbia to break forward and put himself into a goal scoring position, only to miss his chance through not taking the shot a little sooner, there's not a player that can live with that sort of pace. I know he gets talked about when he comes up against the best of the best, like Mbappe and the lad at Real Madrid, but when he's been at those levels, he's never faultered

84 caps for England now, a few more during this tournament and then qualifiers etc he should hit 100 easily. Some achievement really and what a career he's had to date

He’s been the best right back in the world for some time now. It was a brief career with us, and this is very subjective, when you consider the trophies he’s won and the amount of years he’s been at the top of his game at the very elite level, in my opinion, Kyle is the best player to have ever pulled on a SU shirt.

When he came into the team it was very obvious he was going to the top. Instantly not only looked comfortable but stood out amongst a decent enough side at a young age. Still makes me sick how he was thrown in the naughton deal despite it being obvious he was the better player of the two.

Cesc Fabregas last night - "we could be talking about one of the best full backs to ever play the game."

Joe Cole is always named in full. Never "Joe". Never "Cole". Always "Joe Cole".

The same is true for David Silva, Ruel Fox, Roberto Carlos, Xabi Alonso, Yaya Toure and (to really push the boundaries) Papa Bouba Diop.
