There was a lot of positives to take from the game today but the main thing that struck me today was the team looked like a real Blades team.

They were really committed and worked really hard today Souza and Anel and Burrows the stand out performers for me today they typified our performance.

Yes the scoreline could and should have been far greater but the main thing for me was getting the 3 points and that winless streak at home gone.

And what I absolutely loved to see is how all of the lads got stuck in and defended each other when it threatened to turn nasty.

That is the Blades of old showing real fighting spirit getting into the heads of the. Opposition and getting the crowd right behind the i absolutely love to see that especially from the young lads.

Peck and Arblaster really gave the Watford lads some hammer and you love to see it, that is all I ask is a fan to see pride passion and commitment to the shirt and I will back the lads 100%

Ultimately we are still a work in progress and there are a few things that need to be addressed but there were some real positive signs from todays match and we can look forward now and enjoy the international break UTB ⚔️

I’d honestly rather see us win like than than have romped to a 3 or 4 nil win. The players will have taken a huge amount of confidence and learnt way more about themselves than they would with an easy win.

For a team that has only just come together , the spirit is encouraging.
Success for us has only ever come with such a mentality.
Some of those lads will not have experienced the kind of noise generated by their fighting performance today - if they want a repeat , they know what they have to do.

Yep for a change we looked in control which is a complete contrast to the QPR game which was a car crash in the second half.

I think they will take a lot of heart fr the performance and hopefully keep growing as a team.

The thing we need to address is a striker hopefully we can get someone in on a free because for me that is the area I am lost concerned about going forward.

Totally agree with you there hopefully hearing the crowd roaring them on will help us going forward now that they know they have that backing.

Was great to see the lads fighting for each other and loved the handbags at the end all proper Blades teams have got stuck in like that UTB ⚔️

Saw you make plenty of negative comments in the last few days...so it's good to see some positivity.

Agree....it was great to see the battling/ desire to win.
I said before the match that today was a massive game.....kind of a crossroads moment.
We desperately needed to win at any cost.....just to keep the train on the tracks.
If we drew....then the players and Wilder would have been under so much pressure being called bottlers and if we lost there would have been a massive meltdown. I really think there would have been loads on social media predicting relegation and seriously calling for Wilder to be sacked.

The other big positive for me today was the defence......Anel played his best game for months
but I think thats because he was under much less pressure....having Souttar next to him and Cooper in goal....seemed calm all the defence down.

Think individually we looked far superior to a decent Watford team but as a team we're still not firing yet
and the good news is I expect us to improve by quite alot.....as you say we're still a work in progress.

Think the midfield and defence (on paper) are easily top 6 material and might even push for top 2.
However I'm concerned that we don't seem to have any proper goal scorers.
So if we want promotion we're might have to rely on loads of 1-0 wins.
Alternatively I'm hoping for a big surprise, like we sign a top rated free agent, Brewster miraculously plays like a £23 million player.
We might need to hope we're around 8th at Christmas, then the new owners buy a prolific striker in January to push us up the table.

Given that we had to pay £3m for Moore and give him a 3 year contract at 32 , I don't think there'd be much of a striker available as a free agent just now.
