Hi Stegosaurus hereWes kept us in it with two sublime saves. Be careful what you wish for.
Can we wish for 3 saves?Wes kept us in it with two sublime saves. Be careful what you wish for.
All. Goalkeeper make good even great saves, the defining thing with keepers is mistakes.Wes kept us in it with two sublime saves. Be careful what you wish for.
Someone like Robin Olsen?Yes for me.
There's got to be an international loan with a view to buy keeper sat on a bench somewhere in Europe who is a better all rounder! I was a big defender of Wes earlier on this season I think he stopped more Newcastle's but he's in negative credit for me now unfortunately.
They used to say you upgrade the positions which cost you points. This is generally central players. We probably need to upgrade just about every single position so it's a pointless question, goalkeeper wouldn't be top of my list though.
I keep reading this, though Wes is doing nothing to dispel a growing thought. On our list of current woes, GK is somewhere near the bottom... It's on there, but by god we need fresh blood in other areas much more than a new GK....
Wes’ recent performances and decision making are pushing it up the scale. It’s certainly gone from would consider and wouldn’t mind a new keeper to this now being a serious discussion point. Only Wes can change that. But he cost us two points today because he made a decision and it was the wrong one and it contributed to a goal.A bit of an unfair question really. Need, or want?
You could look at any position and say 'yes' to needing someone new (by new, I assume you mean someone better)
Until we have a team of the best players in the world for their position, the answer will always be 'yes'
I think the fairer question would be to ask what the priority is/are for a club with limited funds.
Hi StegosaurusHe’s dropped a few bollocks this season but he’s well in credit with some outstanding stops.
I was of that view in 2019 maybe only JoC I was worried about someone poaching and of course hendo who was on loan. Having a good keeper is probably worth more points than anything other than a 20+ goal a year strikerWe need a new starting XI to compete in the PL. I don't think one of our players is up to the standard, they wouldn't start for anyone else. Everyone knows Wes isn't a PL standard keeper but we're skint and he's decent.
Agree. We had momentum and a tactical edge that season that allowed us to bridge the gap.I was of that view in 2019 maybe only JoC I was worried about someone poaching and of course hendo who was on loan. Having a good keeper is probably worth more points than anything other than a 20+ goal a year striker
Two or Three premiership class players in the window would be money better spent than a keeperHi Stegosaurus
Stops that every other keeper in the league could make. Nothing spectacular enough to make up for his shitness in other areas.
This 100 %.Hi Stegosaurus here
He also jumped like an absolute fanny and cost us the game.
Nobody denies he can do some decent saves. But he can't do the basic stuff. He can't distribute. Deals with crosses worse than Dracula. Doesn't command his box. Doesn't organise his defence. Is prone to doing something fucktarded.
Yes for me.

And how many point was /is a good keeper worth a season ?Two or Three premiership class players in the window would be money better spent than a keeper
