And I think the word to describe a manager who in his second season picked up just 14 points from four wins and two draws and losing the other 22 league games before he left, as something of a failure.I think the word to describe a manager takes you from bottom half of league one to the top half of the premier league is what you call a historic success
Baffling isn't it, some Blades would probably sign Besic and Madine again. Wilder is history, times and football have moved on.And I think the word to describe a manager who in his second season picked up just 14 points from four wins and two draws and losing the other 22 league games before he left, as something of a failure.
Yet some 'deluded ' ( Fallowfield in particular) posters seem to think he'll be the answer to our prayers.

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right.
And here we are, stuck in the drivel with you ( Fallowfield.)
Maths was never your strong point either Fallowfield. The number of likes on my post appears to disagree with you Baldy Kenneth
Maybe you’re the joker after all
no matter whos in the hot seat we need fit players in January, can be frees so long as they are fit and can play
no manager can ever win games with a team with a majority of the squad on gurneys
14 games left v bottom half teams and 84 points still available
and just like saying its us with the 2 worst starts lets not forget its us who stayed up despite not winning till december as well

It’ll be like the invincibles but in an alternate dimension.
Or battling defeat, improved performance defeat, hard earned draw...and we limp on, directionless to the nextIf we lose to wolves with a bad show, Hecky should go Saturday night imo, victory gives him another chance
Yes. As bad as we were in the second season we only lost by one goal. We were competitive but couldn't score. We had a recognisable shape and pattern of play. Results wise both were as bad as each other, let's not forget that two of Hecky's three wins came after relegation was confirmed when the pressure was off the players. Performance wise this season is arguably the worst football this club has ever seen and we are not competitive in any department. We are disorganised, we can't pass, we can't defend, we can't shoot. We can't do any of the fundemental basics. Our tactics are defend with 11 men and hoof it to the strikers. As basic and negative as this is we can't even do that right. When that doesn't work we have no plan B.Is Hecky doing that much worse than Wilder in that 2nd season?
It's the ONLY question that matters in this equation surely.
The uninvincibles?The unconvincables.

No manager will save us from relegation. That's nailed on, but a new manager can get us doing the basics and will at least see us resemble a football team who know what they're doing. We may even pick up the occasional win or draw here and there on the way down.
It's been said enough times on here. The fans who want Hecky gone know that the new manager won't keep us up. But they believe that the new manager will improve the performances on the way down and instill some organisation and fight into the team.
I agree about our fitness. I cannot remember any seasons where our players weren't ready after pre-season or looked unfit still in October. When Slav was in charge we effectively had no pre-season and the summer was a mess, but the players still looked fit and strong after a few matches.Personally i think any manager (could easily be Hecky) who comes in and totally overhauls our strength and conditioning programme, and gets us fitter, stronger, more energetic stands half a chance.
I call bullshit on the argument that our players are palpably worse than Luton, Burnley, Bournemouth.
The differentiator is they're fitter, stronger, more energetic. That's easily remedied with an intense 6 week programme.
