Done a 500 mile round trip, to see the football club ive followed since I was a small boy.

Played well today, got the win and I think today was the turning point on our promotion attempt.

I'm happy, im pissed, chuffed to fuck with a Blades win and starting to think that this night be out year

You call that pissed?
Don't you just miss Bash hands :(

Well said. I've had the opposite day. Not gone as finances won't allow but followed in patches on radio whilst treating my 8 yr old to newspaper trainers x 2, new football boots and a new cricket bat. The next 6 months excite me.
Maybe this is our year. Negativity, perceived implosion s yet we are top of the league with a dozen or so games to go!
Bring it on!

Great you could make it fella, heard it was a cracking game - must be said, you summarised my Sat (& Sun) pretty much too...

Went to see my second team (Park Ave) on Sat, we won 2-1, KO was at 4.00pm due to Bradford Bulls game with St. Helens just down the road at Odsal; caught our result whilst at the game and was bouncing when I knew we'd hit top spot (can't see us giving up as easily as the Christmas/New Year fiasco); bumped into a Wendy who had a go at my son for havin' his Blades shirt on, shut up well quick as soon as I piped up :p, all rounded off with plenty of good ale.............and then for my 2nd most hated to get utterly annihilated against Swansea yesterday was the icing on the cake :D

Looking forward to tomorrow now, going to Oldham Sat...as Gateford said: BRING IT ON!

I work with somebody who played for Bradford Park Avenue years ago alongside Kevin Hector. We also work in a building called City View (on Wapping Road) called thus because, yes, we can see Valley Parade through our windows!!!

Do you work in Manningham BOSS? Are you a pimp?

I too belong to the mass ranks of BPA supporters and used to watch them as a mere bairn (whilst Kevin Hector was playing coincidently) before we moved to Sheffield. Born at St Lukes within spitting distance of Park Avenue itself.

Cheers Dublin - should be good tonight and looking forward to Sat but yeah, bit bleak is Oldham; nonetheless, don't get to that many away games but love 'em.

As for 'curry capital' don't know 100% but recall my wife mentioning we'd won it again??? Maybe not...

I knew there was another reason I love coming on this forum - home from home :) - & them were the day's Grecian. Born in 70 meself (the year they were voted out of the League), and by 74....well, that's kinda how I thus became a Blade.

BTW did you go to the friendly we had with Ave about 4 years back?

UTA & UTB

P.S. (sorry for hijacking your thread Brownie)...
