If it’s a perm with what money would we sign him? And secondly if it’s a loan why would we have him over McAtee?

That might be City's stance, but sounds like even if he is made available, he's no longer on our list of targets. The signings we've made suggest we aren't going to be in for him.

In one respect I'm hoping his agents were the ones being difficult and not Doyle himself, but at the same time I'm hoping his agents weren't responsible or it means Doyle's career has been messed about as I felt he was the perfect replacement for Norwood.

Yeah that’s been all agreed for over a week but still not signed off. It’s still the favourite for our other loan but until it’s done you never know. We might even move on and look at a different position if we get McAtee sorted but we want to make sure we get him first before deciding on that.
 
2 x PL loans & 2 x Foriegn loans isn't it?

Larouci is the only loan so far........Pillestri, McAtee & Origi?

He was the better player for the first half of the season. We also need some variety in defensive/keep ball, not just rely on Norwood/Vini.
 
If we get Archer, McAtee and Pellistri in for the season, I'm starting to think we'll actually qualify for the Champions League this season!

Perhaps I'm getting overexcited, top half only.... Wait... Oooookay, that must be what the ITK meant in the original post... "Be prepared for disappointment".

Very true. No need for anyone to be having a dig.

Most deals will have ups and downs, will they/won't they moments. A lot of ITK stuff will depend even on what time of day you get the updates unless you are the one involved.

Some deals right now will have reached the point of pulling the trigger and we'll decide that it's not for us. Likewise very few will be as simple as "hello I'd like to buy your player, and here's 5m for him", "ok, thanks. Will drop him off first thing in the morning!"

I was ITK (about the only time!) on the Alan Pace deal due to my work connections. If I'd mentioned it on here, my name would have been dirt when it didn't go ahead. But you can see now how it would have been a genuine possibility.

Happy to keep getting insights in the knowledge that these things are never straightforward and we are not just spinning one plate at once.

We aren't signing 5 right footed midfielders this summer. We can't afford another midfielder but if we did, it would be a left footed one.
 
Glad rifleman wasnt quite up to speed..

Hoping archer can be a good addition assuming he does land. Certainly a very promising player. Obviously not proven at this level but we aren't gonna get that really.
Get it done tomorrow should be in time for Sunday?

i think hecky wants mcatee and pellistri could see these 2 playing in a front 3 in behind archer and still wouldnt be suprised if origi comes in as well
