How dare people have someone advising them as to what is the best for their careers!

The reason football is in the state it’s in money wise is partly because of agents.

Agents move players so they get paid first and foremost. Whether or not it’s the right move for their player’s career is secondary to them.

So both Souza and Berge having a medical at the same time. Should we take bets on which one is announced first, should be fuckers like.

Berge will be done and dusted well in time for weekend. Souza will still be filming his announcement video.

Must say I've changed my mind on these should we sell should we keep when in last year of contract... If the player not gunna sign let's get the money and a player or 2 on a proper length contract... Gives em time to play together (if we get relegated or not).. Be in a much better position nxt year.. UTB

Really? I'm sorry if you think that intermediaries that allow the players to concentrate on playing without having to worry about complicated contract (re)negotiations, and potentially being exploited by their employer in terms of not getting a fair wage for their talents, are cunts.
If I was a player I wouldn't want to negotiate a contract solo and I've probably done more reading on contract and employment law than the entirety of the PL playing staff have done combined

Who says they have to? There are things like the PFA for it.

These agents really need 10% of the transfer fee as well yeah?

It is pretty standard practice for an agent placing someone into employment to get paid for their services by the employer, yes - it does not make a difference if the club pays them completely directly, the player pays them completely directly, or something in the middle - the club still has expenses. And thinking that a trade union would get a job done? Jesus fucking Christ, get in the real world, this isn't the fucking days where Matthews and Mortensen were being paid a hundo a week

Hundo a week? Nope

A Rolex is completely different, it will always be owned by you until you decide to sell. You could even pass it on to future generations and it’s kept in the family for 100+ years.

A Rolex won’t decide it doesn’t want to be owned by you anymore and go to someone else for nothing.
But if you knew it would be worth nothing in 1 year, but worth £15k now. Would you sell it and buy a different watch that will hold its value for 3to4 years?

1955 Fulham offered my dad a contract at £17 (he was playing at Worksop town) he basically told them to fuck off as his wages as a qualified engineer was nearly 4 time's that
That was similar with my dad. He was offered contract with Swindon after his national service but earned more working in scissor factory.

Might have had something to do with him leaving?

IF true then it does kind of remove the morale high ground we take when we look back on Ramsdale leaving.

It wasn't good what Ramsdale did, but this is no better.

But it's the Mail so they could easily be twisting something to its extreme.

Could be if you're not going to resign with us then we're going to focus on selling you. In the meantime, we can't risk you playing and picking up an injury.

Not quite the same that as the Mail presents but enough common ground to angle it that way!

As per caller on Footy Heaven tonight. If the Mail article is bollox, then Bettisneeds to put it right tomorrow, as he did when the Mail mentioned admin and a 12 point deduction. If he doesn’t speak out, then there’s probably truth in the allegation.

Wasn't it reported earlier that Berge wasn't at training today?

Sounds more like it
Thats not an accurate account of the situation though is it?

I have absolutely no doubt that United told him he either signs a new contact or he wont play.

But to say ‘he was happy to stay and consider his future in the summer’ is slightly disingenuous.

In the interest of balance, the article should read ‘he was happy to saunter through the remainder of his contract and walk away in the Summer, knowing that as a free agent, he would be able to secure himself a generous signing on fee and a significantly higher salary’

Why does he? He doesn’t need to comment on every news story.

Anyway, so what if we did threaten to freeze him out. Clubs do this type of thing all the time, we ain’t the first and we won’t be the last. E.g PSG and Mbappe

I’m guessing and suggesting that he would be made speak out to protect the clubs integrity, just as he did with last article of Mail BS? But of course only if it is BS?

Presume this is all done but we're waiting for our social media team to put together a "Farewell Sander" video FFS.

If they're getting paid by the club, then fuck them off. We've not got a pot to piss in, we can't afford to be paying some media studies student to make pretty videos to appease the twitter crowd, If he's gone, he's gone, just announce it and fuck off all the flashy video bollocks.

Edit: Same with new players. 99% of the fanbase couldn't give a fuck about seeing vague shots of someone holding a ball while wearing a shirt. Just stop with all that shite and tell us if/when we have actually signed a player.
