i defend the prince, hes far from perfect but he is better than mccabe & he isnt as bad as made out overall

but this news has really irrated me. wonder what kind of shambles that club is running, because after stuttgart & this news. we might as well just take relegation now, every team strengths when the get promoted to the premier league. here we are getting weaker & in the last place we can afford it. we all ready needed 3 new central midfielders to replace doyle & mcatee. potentially a better norwood. here we are now needing a 4th because we are selling the 2nd of most high profile players 5 days before the season starts

god knows how hecky is feeling beside being on a hiding to nothing. 4/6 on to is to be relegated & palace to win 7/5 seems absolute steal now

Wait until we have finished our business- we had two players who wouldn’t sign new contracts and would be worth almost nothing at the end of this season . There was absolutely no guarantee that we would have stayed up with them .

Let’s see what we do with the money
Fuck all

Operation Blame It On Berge starts here. He's going to Burnley. A team that has just been promoted with us and who will have one of the lowest wage bills in The Premier League. He hasn't had his head turned. We've actively tried to sell him like we did last season.

Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight

We may as well sell berge whilst we are at it

If we are getting rid of Ndaiye to get some cash back what’s the point in pretending we’re giving staying up a go.

Get rid - get someone who’s going to be here in 12 months on the championship.

You may be right

But time will tell

Surely we can’t fight so hard for promotion just to lay down and die ?

There must be players lined up to fill the gaps as well as add to the first team - if there isn’t then the Prince , who adores positive press , will be on the receiving end of one almighty backlash . He will be portrayed as a fool who has seriously undermined and fatally damaged his own asset and our clubs image .

As for PH - well he’s been publicly calling for more reinforcements for weeks and to potentially end up with false promises and no replacements will undermine him and push him to leave and who could blame him

However - let’s see how it plays out

You couldn't make it up-

Ndiaye/ Berge/ Doyle/ Macatee- all creativity gone.

You might laugh but if you've spent £1200 on Season Tickets- you can only cry.
Joke isn’t it, the priority signing should of been 2 midfielders to walk straight into the side after last season here we are a week before season starts and we’re even weaker than we were!

The trouble here is we have 80% of the squad out of contract in a year so the sharks are circling for a feeding frenzy any half decent player is going to be snapped up. Ndiaye, now Berge, next Jebbo or any of the young lads with any potential at this rate we will be relegated before Christmas and be left with duffers like Osborn, Fleck, Robbo and Norwood who are barely good enough as back up players.
It's slow motion car crash.

If the rumoured £12million is to be believed. Firstly we are looking at a player who will be gone next year regardless on a free. His injury record isn't the greatest. His national side boss doesn't want him at Bramall Lane. He is the highest paid player at the club. If Burnley want him, I would sell him, based on recruitment and the cash they have, although I think they will be "in the mix" for relegation, I personally don't think they will go down. There will be a big gap between the top 6 and mid 6 or so and then there will be a mini league around the bottom 3 extending to probably 3 of 6/7, of course we are going to be favourites to go down however if we look back 6 months. We were on the verge on not having a club, the FA Cup kept the bills at bay. Least with a steady financial footing we can rebuild around the longer term deals being made now and what permanent recruitment we do in the next 3 windows (this one included as still not finished). We are in transition at the moment and not used to going up to the top flight so quickly from relegation. Realistically the worst possible situation is we are back in the Championship FFS could be a lot worse!

You’ve got to give a little love
Take a little love
Be prepared to fore-sake a little love ❤️

You tell me who’s worse at tackling and heading at the club than Berge and as for his size who’s nesher, I’ll save you the trouble there isn’t anyone.
In 3 consecutive posts, the first attribute you’ve listed is “tackling” - you’ve obviously not seen any football in the last 10 years then.

This is unforgivable.

Having a plan to accept relegation in order to refresh the squad and be financially healthy is one thing. But to do this, you at least need a reasonable squad of players and to give the fans something to get behind for the coming season.

Whoever we bring in, the damage to the fans, the damage to squad morale and the damage to our preparedness for the season can't be underestimated.
