Chuba akpom and Cameron archer

I have less trust in rifleman's assertion it's heckys primary goal.
Sounds an awful lot like wilder and Brewster does it not? And I can't imagine hecky walking that path.
If Ndiaye left Hecky wanted akpom to replace him. They play in the same position.

Can I come back yet? 😬.

Sorry that all changed quickly, I was so sure it was done.

For what it's worth can I redeem myself;
Ndiaye now likely to stay, negotiations to continue over the next couple of days. Can only see a huge bid from England above our value point reopening him leaving. New contract likely to be 3 year deal.

His replacement if he goes.. the name can be found in AMC not STR. We may even revisit this target if the takeover happens before we have all our eggs in the basket / window shuts. Player in question to join us / another Premier league team. He wants to leave his club and is telling them so.

No idea who we will be looking at for LCB but should get information soon.

T-Blade seems most clued up

England. He's worth 25 points in scrabble.

He looks good
He looks fine
Signing on the dotted line
And he wears the 29
..Divided by 2.9

Ndiayes replacement (if he goes)..

I think will suit our style. He's different to Ndiaye for sure. At a guess it would use 50% of Ndiayes fee to get him. If the future is BT plus this guy up front then I think that works well.

Think 2019/20 and MGW 'vibes'

Reckon the name gets leaked in a couple of days
As some guessed that was Chuba. The 2.9 lyric was in reference to the Video he did with Sharp narrating. Glad I never saw it mind. 😓🚀

Mgw vibes - us knicking our maim rivals best player from the season just gone. 19/20 - signing the best from the Champ strategy.

Any other names floating about?

Keep the stuff coming. Hit or miss it’s at least better than discussing holiday destinations.

I hold no ill will sir. Ignore the haters. At least you don't seem to have a bias towards either the club or the prince unlike some Twitter folk.

Just carry on posting bruv ♥️

For what it's worth Palmer and Chuba are hot, relegation release clause issues with Souza (at min).

Leeds seem to have relegation release clauses for alot of players they signed in the prem.

The difference is their release fee is almost identical to the price they signed them for.

You didn’t really get it wrong though did you RM?
By all accounts you got it right. Everything was in place. You said he was going to sign and he was. You can’t vouch for Ndiaye’s sudden change of heart and it was as much a shock to the clubs staff as it was to you and all of us

I understand the reservations about Akpom. However, I do think the recruitment team deserve to be trusted - they've got a lot more right than wrong in the last year or two so I'll keep my powder dry.

Last season will have done wonders for the lads confidence - might've been just one season that really ignites his career. Wouldn't have been my first choice and he might not have been first for the club either but one thing you cannot argue with is his goal tally of last season, it was impressive however it's dressed up.

Tilman is the back up to Chuba. Wish it was the other way around.
I don't think Chuba would be a bad signing, but yeah... that's the wrong way round every day of the week.

BUT that said, there'll be a reason Hecky prefers Akpom. We're just not privy to it.

Just to be cheeky, can you clarify, when you say Palmer and Akpom are hot, do you mean real possibilities or you just think both fit ??

I mean nowt wrong with either looks wise but you know, don’t want to get me hopes up

Without any creativity, he's not scoring anything.
dont know why your so down on this guy tarqs hes better than anything were left with apart from archer who would you suggest we go for that fits our budget ? 🤔

Anyone who doesn't think Akpom is worth signing, name me a striker/attacking mid that is available for £8m that is proven in English football and Boro played a similar style to us last season. It's ok saying that there's a Greek striker who's bagged 25 goals in the Eredivisie or someone else who's scored a similar amount in Ligue One but ultimately are they going to come to United, can we afford them, and more importantly how well will they adjust to the PL and English football as well as another culture and language. Granted Akpom hasn't played in the PL but he's shown last season that he can score a lot of goals and I think he can make the step up and is more likely to do so than someone from abroad given the budget and quality of player we'd attract from abroad.

I have my reservations in terms of his injury but seems he's approaching full training soon. We need whoever we're to sign to replace Ili to hit the ground running and I'd say Akpom when he's fit will be as good a striker as we could hope for.

Some might say one season wonder but last season he was on fire, I can't see why he couldn't continue this season where he left off from last when fit, might not 20 plus, obviously, but I could see 10 - 15 from him.

His record doesn't suggest he's any better than McBurnie who has scored a few at the top level.

Just find it underwhelming and against our apparent transfer strategy.

I think means very much on our radar

Good afternoon. Always a little suspicious of new members posting ITK (assuming that's what it is).

Not accusing you of anything but interested to know if this info is via a "proper" source or just a "mate told me" sort of thing.
Hi, I'm no ITK, I was saying my preference only.

That’s depressing. Take last season out of the equation and his scoring record is something like 1 in 8 games and that’s Championship level or lower.
In his two clubs where he has played the most games he averages a goal every 204 and 206 minutes going back to 2018 and hasn't always played up top

“When he’s fit”

Akpom was miles better than archer for Boro last year I’m not sure why everyone wants archer over akpom

He’s only 27 so he isn’t that old

Sign him up

Are you just looking at goals scored? maybe also look at big chances created
