I think they're just expressing a preference, aren't they?

Archer will most assuredly be a no, I'm sure.
 
archer would be my number 1 choice but doesnt look like villa will be letting him out on loan i think theres an outside chance we might take a gamble on akpom and this malik tillman looks like hes another thats interesting us

Not accusing you of anything but interested to know if this info is via a "proper" source or just a "mate told me" sort of thing.

My interpretation of that is this person saying they want Archer and don't want Akpom. I don't think it's ITK at all.

Whilst I'm not really excited about the prospect of signing Akpom I wouldn't be pissed off if we did depending on what he cost.

For £8m or less I wouldn't have a problem. Anything more and we've been ripped off. 27 isn't old by any means, id jsut like us to have someone we cab develop with a view to gaining some value back at some point but it's gotta be better than relying on Brewster, jebbo or Osula at this stage.

I realise we’re all on edge here. The ITK brigade here probably have a reputation as bad as I’ve ever seen on the board. However I think the original poster has just said they’d love Archer but have no interest in Akpom 😂. Not everything is someone claiming to be ITK.
 

Akpom doesn't fit the mantra that Hecky was talking about in terms of young players to be signed, he's 27 and 28 in October. That's not old but much less sell on value and I think Boro would want around £10m for such an important asset. I would like him because he can finish but he's also wasteful when I've seen him for Boro, not as clinical as I thought he would be.

I think he's had his fair share of injuries over the years too?

I think the fact we're signing players from abroad by the looks of it means that most players will just be desperate to come to the PL, and within out budget I think the players we're after would just be desperate to come. Those like Axel Tuanzabe and Ainsley Maitland-Niles may be harder to sign because they'll have other PL options you'd have thought, certainly the latter but I think United are still a good proposition for many players who want to join. A team that's got promoted, even without Iliman, I think is something players will want to be a part of. The relegation wages decrease is something that will put some off but I think we can't go without that until we are established and even then it's risky to not plan for the Championship based on the size of the club and current budget.
 

In Northumberland on holiday and just watched local TV where Akpom shared his delight and happiness of being a Midd player and how much he is looking forward to the start of the new season and trying to beat his 29 goals from last
