Is tapping a player up an actual thing ie a punishable offence? I thought it was but it seems like they’ve chucked everything at disrupting the player staying without complaint from SUFC

They have been done for it before.
 
It will all have been done through agents and intermediaries so it's probably just about on the right side of okay. At least that's my theory as I feel this whole thing has been engineered by the agent anyway.

Even if it is, they've played a blinder haven't they? They might get fined a few quid but they'll have done their homework and know that they've just acquired an asset that will immediately double or even triple in value.

If it was us we'd be applauding it.
 
To say I'm gutted is an understatement, I'm 60 and hes the best player I've ever seen in a blades shirt, but next season was always going to be an uphill task even with ndiaye and almost certainly his last season with us, he possibly could've nicked a win for us in a couple of games but the quality of his teammates would mean that we were going to find it extremely difficult to keep out of the bottom 3, I assume that all the transfer fee would go straight into the team, if not I would be beyond angry, so hopefully as a team we could be stronger even if we wouldn't have a shining light, someone once said " great players win games, great teams win trophies" or in our case escape relegation
 
It will just add to the myth like status their fans seem to hold their president for getting absolutely insane transfers over the line by being utterly ruthless.

Doesn't help that he looks like a villain from an 80s action movie.

I wish him all the best though on a serious note, most skilful player to ever play for United in my time. Borbokis a close second though.

That is a great way of looking at it, but that’s why I’m so annoyed with illy. Its such an obvious choice why didn’t he do the honourable thing weeks ago and say look, its Marseille, my team and I have my heart set on it. I’m not signing a contract so do with that as you will.

Had he done that I would have no bad feelings only thanks. I don’t blame him at all for wanting to do it it’s just how he’s done it.

The club should never of let it get this far however. Should have been sorted 12 months ago. Typical Blades eh!

Probably the same people that are slagging off the Brewster signing, but were very happy with signing him at the time.

Incredibly easy to keep moaning about decisions with the benefit of hindsight. Also incredibly easy to spend other peoples money for them.
