Chuba akpom and Cameron archer

We will see movement on akpom in the next week, Boro wanted £15m+ but the fee is going to be half that.

Cameron archer is a little more difficult, villa are currently pricing us out of a move and we want a loan with a buy option. Villa currently want £20m. This could go down to the wire.
Oh please do one with this fucking bullshit

There’s no way we’re in for Akpom. And there’s no way we can afford Archer. Close thread!

In 8 fewer matches he scored twice as many goals as Ndiaye. Lagging 2 to 11 on assists but he was potent last year.

Easy to dismiss as a flash in the pan I know, but what if he isn’t?

He put scorer Gyokeres 4 to 3 as well.

We aren’t going to get exact like for like. You won’t warm to someone who isn’t regarded as one of your own to some degree.

But if he is available at a decent fee then getting the top scorer from the prior season isn’t the worst deal.

I think I read surprisingly that he attempted more dribbles than Ndiaye or something of that nature.

In terms of replacement Iliman feels irreplaceable but whoever comes in, let’s not dismiss them immediately.

Maybe it's a bit like Heckingbottom bottom with Ndiaye he’s just not good enough for the Premiership.
You do know Villa are miles better and ahead of us right? Just because they don't see Archer as their main plans dosent mean his crap.

Never understand this fanbase sometimes, people saying no to Archer and Akpom when they walk into our injured forward line.

You do know Aston Villa finished finished 7th but only scored 51 goals making them only joint 10th top scores in the division. So one area they will be looking too improve on might be scoring goals, if Archer is that good surely they will be using him.
Of course Archer and Akpom would walk into our starting line when we only have Osula fit, doesn't mean they are any good, Sharp and Ashley Fletcher would walk into our starting line up at the moment.

I'd be delighted to get Archer, but we simply won't get him. He'll not be available for loan and he'd cost exponentially more than we're getting from the Ili sale.

I appear to be in a minority of one on this one but I'd be more than happy to get Akpom in, every time I saw him play last season he looked class. Maybe he'd been no great shakes before last season - wouldn't know, wasn't on my radar in the slightest - but sure I heard he changed his position/role to one that suited his strengths better and reaped the rewards, so no reason to think it's a one-off. Plus if we are getting Archer as well, they already know how to play off each other so shouldn't take much getting up to speed.

Can't see United paying the money needed to get Akpom out when he's 27 years old. Age and lack of pedigree (bar last season) would make it a weird signing. Resale value is a big issue for us.
