McCall said it wasn't concussion as well but just a nasty gash to the forehead.
I think its at Man Citys training complex as Girona are part of the City Group. Presumably we are doing City a favour by giving one of their teams a game and in return we expect Mcatee on loan and Doyle at a knock down price.

A few stitches on the forehead shouldn't sideline a player.A preseason game yes but with no concussion, these older plsyers need to keep their spot.Where was JOC when he was needed he didn't lose those.

Fleck’s poor injury record was the main reason I was against his re-signing. Hopefully it’s not serious.

Another season where we are paying wages out to a player who is past his prime and spends more time in the treatment room than on the pitch.
And the time it takes him to get back up to fitness after injury.
It was always a 'surprising' contract offer, which I'm convinced we'll regret.
To say these are friendly matches it sounds like the opposition has turned up and kicked the fuck out of us every game. We need friendlier friendlys

With Norwood and Fleck's injuries makes us having 8 missing (including visa Traore though)

I appreciate that money may be tight but FFS the currently available squad would not be successful in the Championship never mind the PL.
Fail to pick up any points in August and we may never recover - we keep being told that loans will arrive towards deadline day but surely we need players in before the season starts ?

While it's not ideal we're also not 13 players down on last season. The reality is:
Left: McAtee, Sharp, Clark, Doyle, Stevens (-5)
Still injured: RND, Brewster, O'Connell (since left) (net 0 impact)
New injuries: Bogle, McBurnie, Coulibaly, Fleck (-4)
Returns from injury: Osborn (+1)
Returns from loan: Seriki (+1)
Promoted from U21s: Freckleton, Marsh (+2)
Signings cleared to play: Slimane, Larouci (+2)
Signings not cleared to play: Traoré (net 0 impact)
Currently net -2 on last season.
Another way of looking at it based on the pre-season lineups:
McAtee > Marsh (downgrade)
Stevens > Larouci (TBC)
Doyle > Slimane (TBC)
Sharp > Traoré (TBC)
Clark > Freckleton (TBC)
I understand and empathise with your comments, but of the 15 only 3 had any significant impact on our promotion, so I don’t see that we are now that far off last year’s squad.
Clearly we need to add, but you have ignored any of the young players who are likely to enhance the 25.
Two loans of quality and a possible final purchase would make a decent squad and I would hope that RND, Bogle and Brewster will play some part in this season.

Two loans and a purchase , making 3 for the starting eleven , would bring us back to where we were last season , but we are now in a higher league.
Nevertheless , I am grateful to Silent & yourself for keeping my hopes alive & defying the bookies
The hope is that the three are better than we had ( particularly at LCB) and the three already in are better than we at first thought. Having read about the financial mess that Wolves are in I am even more optimistic.
Should we go down then the next two windows should produce a really good squad and better financial stability.

Fleck needs to get fit not only is he injured he looks overweight just comparing him to the rest of the squad. It's a short career make the best of it, even if it's no longer at the top flight.
