23/24 season kit thread

Last year was a bit of a shitshow, you'd think this year that the club would be especially keen to get an early release out and assure fans that Errea aren't a tinpot Sunday league kit supplier and are actually capable of producing a 'bespoke' set of shirts well in time for all those who like showing people who they support when they're on their summer holidays, to be able to do so. It would be world ending if they had to wear the 22/23 shirt whilst at the baggage reclaim.
It was the worst preparations in my lifetime. It's not hard, they only have a full season to plan for and build up to this.

some more that i've done recently, if anyone's interested - some of them defo won't be to everyone's liking but just tried to do sumat a bit different!
That first away kit is LUVLEH and a tad nostalgic.

I like the one with the black T on the front ...33 and the last one.good work sir.

Seen Southampton's kit launch today and hoping we just keep it simple. This is apparently a nod to one of their 80s kits but looks like something from league two if you ask me.1687292030218.png

On the flip side, AFC Wimbledon released their kit today and while as it’s so different it’s divided fans a little, I think it looks class.

I've seen the wavy Atletico Madrid in person. It's not nice.

My attempt at an away shirt - can't get the same mint green on the site I used and would have preferred same collar/sleeves as Real Madrid shirt with a white inner band (and Randox logo in grey)
Sorry fellow Blade but for me that’s the Most insipid kit ever. Minty green with pale grey shorts? Really?

Shirt is lovely, not sure about them long green shorts though.

If you're going to do nods to the past, things like that are quite good as it's basically the same rather than looking a bit like something if you look at it at a funny angle like some supposed nostalgic kits. A few teams had that template in the 80s, Villa had this.

I'd quite like a good nod to an early 90s kit. But they seem to like doing the retro one's as a separate line now.
So don't think they would do that for main kits.

But something nice smart generally we want red and white stripes with black somewhere. Also I prefer black or predominantly black shorts.

Get the impression with Errea it won't be quick again. But maybe better than the day of the start of the season!
Maybe a few weeks before or so. Mid - End July?

That's perfectly fine fellow Blade. It's my opinion that an away kit should have the potential to be polarising and a bit more out there. I like the home kit to play it safe as it's important to the identity of the club and fanbase. The away kit is the chance to try something different and the beauty is that it changes every season so why not try some different colour combos. Our most iconic away kit is one that many would have probably scoffed at on paper.

I'd prefer it if we did a Brentford and kept the home kit for two seasons. Otherwise it's recycling variations of red and white striped shirts with occasional black pinstripes each year. Look at the last few Spurs home shirts, all practically the same.
Change the away kits every year, with those there's a chance to experiment and choice of colours to go for.

Great to see us sticking to this policy. Whilst I'm not opposed to gambling, the mass advertising of it within the game is highly unethical. You only have to look at the hypocrisy of Ivan Toney getting the ban for football gambling whilst playing in a shirt that advertises a gambling company

Same. I’ll stick a fiver on now and then for fun but the way gambling is constantly pushed on people in this country inevitably drives many into ruin. All while the government turn a blind eye while they are tucking into their steak dinners at Ascot bought and paid for by their mates at Bet365.

Morals might not pay Premier League wages but I’d rather my club was the one taking a stand

Gambling sponsorship is also everywhere. Fuck it.
