23/24 season kit thread

It's great to be using the same kit manufacturer as so many powerhouses of the footballing world.
Fair point, but probably more important is these all look like really nicely designed kits. I'd be happy with any of them as our 2nd / 3rd, who they've been made for is just a footnote.

Some have been released solely as an image. Useless marketing and advertising teams. Don't they know if they have a good video they'll generate more interest?

Other Errea kits released for 23-24:
Fooook - some of those have the same collar as the one on our "leaked" monstrosity
More evidence that the Turkey effort could be correct (sponsor aside)?
I know The Star have said it's not the real one, but what do they know?!

As an interesting aside, Errea released a special edition kit for KV Mechelen in February this year (the one below)...

...and their new kit for the 23-24 season has now turned out to be pretty much exactly the same, with a slight tweak to the collar and ruined by the usual overgenerous sprinkling of sponsors.

Dare we dream? 🤞🤞🤞

This level of critical thinking

Who do you imagine might have the larger marketing budget? Premier league Sheffield United or Hemel Hempstead?

I'll stick to my original point that I do not understand why united cannot release an image of the shirt. Folded up in the factory, hung on a mannequin. Owt.

All we've got is 'early july. Nod to a 90s kit'

Budget or not, it's a bit pathetic. My guess was, and is, that it wasn't anywhere near ready, again, for them to do such a thing. This is advertised with no model. Why can't they put up the new one with "available early July" with a picture? Or do we have to wait for Toddla T to do us a mixtape over some sketchy epilepsy-inducing flickering video?

Plus, surely the earlier they release it, it adds some extra money to the coffers? Granted not a lot but why not? Or even allow pre-orders on it. But no, we have to be secretive, a bit different. For a shirt. I don't know any other club that behaves this way.

I get what you're saying, it's annoying that other clubs are releasing their shirts but, just sending out a mockup, or a pic of the shirt on a hanger is a bit of an anticlimax for what will be one of the biggest products we sell, aside from season tickets. I don't agree that they should do that, I do agree that it's ridiculous we alway leave it so late to release it and miss out on prime shirt buying weeks/months. I bet we'd sell a tonne if they were in the superstore/online and available to buy today. I would image you wont be able to get them till a week or so before the official start of the season.

Look I get it. It’s frustrating that the kit is not out yet. I don’t get why they can’t do it now but they have a launch date decided of July.

when companies launch a new product they market it properly. Apple don’t just whack out a jpeg of the latest iPhone and call it a day - they make it a huge event with press there etc. the reason they spend all that effort is that it works - it’s a better way to sell the product. Most big clubs have a proper launch with videos / coordinated tweets etc and LOADS of clubs haven’t released a kit yet. Obviously some have been leaked

It’s not to everyone’s taste but come on - a video with players in the kit / music etc is 1000 times better than a picture of a kit on a coat hanger!

even just Taking the promotion shirt it was launched essentially in conjunction with the promotion parade etc. all the players were wearing it - it made more of a splash then just sticking it on a website. Everyone wanted one and it sold out immediately. erred delivered that at short notice. so no reason to think we are behind any launch date.

Aren't there only around half the PL clubs that have released/previewed their kits so far?

I don't see the rush, as long as it's announced and available prior to the start of the season then what's the issue?

Last season was a joke in terms of release dates and availability but this season surely it's just a case of getting a marketing campaign together and putting it out, most likely waiting for the players to come back in next week and the week after to do all the social media nonsense that goes along with kit releases nowadays.

If Errea and/or the club have fucked up again and it does end up being 'late' then obviously that's a bigger issue and needs addressing.

Like last season then.

I don't particularly care about this as much as it might come across. I won't be buying one because I can't afford one. I won't be buying one because errea are crap. The very fact the star wrote an article saying "quality will be better next time around" tells me all I need to know - last seasons were crap. Stitching was wank (I posted a few pics from the website showing stitching unfinished on a rain jacket I think it was. This was on the website ffs!!). Badges falling off during matches (there were 2 examples of that happening). As a company, surely you make sure these things are done properly? Especially to a club like ours, with no disrespect aimed at any other Errea club. Errea clearly have a piss poor quality control team. How some of those products passed is a mystery. Yet no such problems with my DHgate one. So far anyway.

Please for the love of god do not start caring.

Dunfermline home:

Hopefully Errea don't do our stripes with this 'drawn on with marker pen style!'

Errea have just released a new stripe design for Dunfermline Athletic.

I think I actually quite like it and the painted on style stripes.
