Attendances mean very little financially in the Premier League. How Bournemouth survive on gates of 10,000 in the prem is a tough one to take.
Fulham, Brentford and Palace also have relatively low gates.

As I've been telling Leeds fans for ages you get no points for bodies through the turnstiles. But 10,000 is league 1 level
Brentford in their first season spent around £35m on these types of clever signings. Obviously they had the fortune of having Erikson half a season tooI don't think we will even spend that. I think £10m max on a couple of Anel like purchases. I wouldn't be surprised if we spent nothing though
Might be something in that too. This is how we like it init? Written off, under dogs, little to money. All the signs for us to make a decent bash of staying up
Agreed on all points.I think we’ll be defensively ok, it’s the cost of scoring goals that we need to worry about.
I think the phrase “once bitten, twice shy” will be the overriding one regarding transfer spend, Abdullah won’t spend lots on possibly average to shit players so we’ll be taking a punt on lower cost options. Very reliant on good recruitment and selection.
We just need a billionaire with an open cheque book and no requirement for any future payback and we’ll be fine!
Isn’t that what Wilder tried to do?I think the smart plan would be to add some players that would make us a stronger Championship side than we were should we go down.
I can’t see us bringing in much in the way of Premier League experience. We are going to have to be creative with our budget.
It's a bit of a myth about Bournemouth spending little, they've spent about £70 million. No the players will just lay on their backs and lose week in week out from the first game.
Look at AFC Bournemouth, very little spent, squad looks crap on paper, finished closer to the top half than the bottom 3.
I most certainly do not, I am utterly bored shitless of 'cheap as cheaps Sheffield United'. All that 'team o tryers, show a bit of passion' from millionaires wore thin a long time ago. This is how we like it init? Written off, under dogs, little to money. All the signs for us to make a decent bash of staying up

A lot.more than we have though!70mill is not that much tbh.
We need to have a least a decent 'spine'.
GK ,CH , CM, No 9.all decent teams build that way.
If we are going to have to play more on the counter, then a couple of pacy young strikers will be required, unless Osula and Jebbison step up ?
Back up ?To be fair our spine is premier league quality...
Anel in defence, Berge in midfield, Ndiaye in attack
Can't help thinking of MGW charging past Norwood & EganIt's posts like this that worry me. It's as if there's a wilful ignorance/blindness of what actually happens in football.
As mentioned above, Bournemouth spent the best part of £80m since getting promoted. They also have Solanke, who scored 29 times in 46 championship games, and who has scored 6 in 32 PL games.
Fulham have Mitrovic. An international quality centre forward. He scored 43 goals in 44 championship games the season before last and he's scored 14 goals in 23 PL games this season. They've spent £70m since promotion and had a better team than us to start with.
Forest have spent about £160m and now have MGW (12 in 37 last season & 5 in 34 this) and Johnson (18 in 49 last season and 8 in 37 this).
All the promoted teams have players as good/effective as Ndiaye, and they have all spent heavily since promotion.
The off field nonsense will continue and nauseamI refuse to accept that this squad will get relegated next season, before a ball has been kicked.
Keep in mind we still have a few useful players who will make the bench next season, provided contracts are sorted quickly.
We have learned our lesson from players like Burke, Mouset and Freeman. Who really knew Ndiaye would turn into such a sensation? How did we pull off a buy like Ahmedhodzic?
Loan players like Doyle and McAtee arrived with not much more than promise and potential! Thank the PH management team for their fulfilled promise, potential and progress.
I expect one, or possibly two players like Ahmedhodzic to arrive next season, (20m player budget gone already) along with a group of loan players who have been vetted for attitude as well as promise and potential.
I don’t think we will be a top 10 side, but I don’t think we deserve to be relegation favourites either. Hecky and his staff have put the team where they are, and deservedly so, with all the off field nonsense they dealt with this last season.
I don’t expect a change of ownership anytime soon, and it might not be billionaire we all hope for anyway. We have done well with what we’ve got, despite all the problems like form, injuries and discipline.
Looking forward to a more benign VAR next season!
All London clubs , different economics , big incomes from fewer fansAttendances mean very little financially in the Premier League.
Fulham, Brentford and Palace also have relatively low gates.
Nope.Isn’t that what Wilder tried to do?
Hi Fallowsaurus, thanks for your insightHi Stegosaurus here,
We'll go down. The bulk of our squad were in the Premier League last time and are now older and shittier. The team needs a rebuild, but the Potless Prince doesn't have the cash to do so.
Nice to see someone who isn't cutting their wrists, anyone would think we'd finished 7th and facing another season in the championship.I refuse to accept that this squad will get relegated next season, before a ball has been kicked.

Wilder justified quite a few transfers based on that premise. Some were successful, others not so much. Freeman, Lowe, Bogle, McBurnie, Burke etc. He even bought a winger when we didn’t play wingers, but I’ve forgotten his name.Nope.
£23m for Brewster without him having played any grown-up football ?
Just a waste of money
