Has Rohl achieved any more than Selles did with his previous clubs?
Given our fans response to Danny Wilson, I’m not sure that appointing an ex-Pig is going to help to unite the club.
If we do have to cut our losses on Selles, id want us to go for proven managerial experience at the required level … Dyche and Cooper are the only stand outs barring a 3rd coming.
I loved that Danny Wilson team, we just got undone by the Ched situation…Just saying.

Taking my slightly timid 9yo lad, will be his first home game since the first Hecky/McCall season as he was a bit too young back then and found the packed-out Lane intimidating. Just hope the atmosphere doesn't turn poisonous and scare him away for good 🙈
If the atmosphere is turning poisonous because of a dodgy transfer window so far, another club might be better for him anyway.

Seriously, some grip getting needs to happen from some.

Blah, blah, Dyche, Cooper, Selles out, panic, Mr Mainwaring 'don't panic!!!!!'

Rinse and repeat ad nauseam

On good authority, not ITK as it's not me, but Cooper isn't coming here.

Nothing you can shout on here will make a single iota of difference to what's happening. Relax, go on Saturday, support the lads, do whatever you do on match day but my god, some of this is beyond needy

It's baffling to sell Anel with no replacement, leaving only two fit centre-backs. Other players are needed as well. In other positions, the new owners don't seem bothered that we have lost 3 games and bottom of the championship. The players who played well last season are not playing to the same level as last season. Summats wrong, don't they like Selles? If no players get signed up before the end of the transfer window. We will have a struggle to get where we want to be. In my opinion, we should have kept Sir Chris Wilder; surely we would have got the players we need and had a much better start to the season. That said, no matter what happens now, I will be going to every home game.can't afford away games travel expenses, which makes that very difficult. Generations of my family go way back to the time when the club were formed in 1889. It's in the blood we have had great times and poor times, but I will keep going. Blades for Life that our family motto, except for one or two black sheep that is.

Your probably right, but it is slightly worrying why we're dragging our arses.

At the end of last season we MUST have looked at the squad and thought: we will probably have to sell 2 out of Cooper, Hamer, Souza and Anel to balance the books.

Surely at that point we would have lined up 2,3,4 potential replacements for each of these players in case we lose them. And so if we did, we could act quickly to sign their replacement.

Instead, it appears to have taken us completely by surprise. We sold Anel 2 weeks ago and still haven't signed a replacement. It's incredible. Amazing lack of planning and oversight. There is no excuse for this chaos.

*Should also add that when we sold Anel, he himself said he couldn't believe how quickly the deal happened. Why didn't we delay things until we found a replacement? Why didn't we immediately kick into action when we heard about Feyenoord's interest? Why do we only now seem to be scouting for a replacement?

I think, at the end of the day, there is only one question that needs answering:

At the point we are at, the player ins and outs leaves us on a precipetous ledge and who is out there, who is available, and who wants to come to us, not from a standpoint of another club letting players go at this stage but certainly who is out there unattached and who would strengthen the current team is the key question.

If we get players in the transfer window they will undoubtedly come from a teams subs bench, players who are not regular starters for their teams, or free agents.

Does the club truthfully think there is talent out there ready to go from the off, or who can contribute 15 goals, or who can tower above opponents in our goal area throughout the game, or who can be the midfield maestro we desperatly need?

'Cos I don't and the players we need are simply not available.

Whoever we sign will not strengthen our team, that is for sure.

Right back, centre back and a striker as a minimum. Sod all talk of a striker in the pipeline. Let's hope it's the Enigma code !

We were excellent v Bristol city I don’t care what anyone says, result was not reflective of performance.

Birmingham was a side with 10 changes not taking anything from it.

Haven’t seen the Swansea game so can’t fairly comment.

The squad is good enough to stay up if you are genuinely saying this side could get relegated I suggest you are only doing so for dramatic effect and attention
We were utter gash bar a 20 min spell vs Brizzle.
The defending was woeful. We played the way Struber saw us play in pre season and they countered and pressed at the perfect times.
The fact they scored from their first 5 on target - let’s reiterate that FIVE ON TARGET - was not down to bare faced luck it was to do with how open we were.
First goal they carved us open too easily and Hamer put in a stupid half hearted foot to bring Memheti down. Of course no one knew about Twine’s prowess from free kicks. That’s his 17th direct free kick goal.
Second was an abomination from a defensive perspective. Over committed up the pitch, two pass break out to Riis on the wing, Bindon has to go cover as no RB, gets out paced, twisted and turned. McCorrie goes steaming up their right hand side and is not tracked, zero cover in the middle as Binman is stuck out wide. Twine lays it off and whilst it’s a good finish there hasn’t been one tackle because there is zero cover.
3rd & 4th we’re RNDs fault for sure but he was attempting to play a ball that was not on because the full back and midfielder were too high up the pitch. That’s still being wide open.

Contrast Brum and Swansea the tactics changed to plug the gaps that were so huge in the Brizzle game. Consequence, toothless and nothing created.

That Brizzle game was not great because we had a 20 min spell of popping the ball around. We still only scored 1. Their keeper made some half decent stops but they weren’t worldies. Mostly through a ruck of players because they packed the box, expecting to have to defend for periods, knowing they would break the press and be behind us within 2-3 passes.
We even saw Burton do that in pre season. It was too easy to counter.

Now, do the same to one of the top teams (Brizzle will not be vying for top 5) then the result is as bad or worse.

The lack of noise and pandering to the media and fan's neediness, doesn't mean they aren't looking for a striker

They are indeed.

My optimism is saying to me that better players get sold at the end of a transfer window.

If we are trying to sign PL quality players, they are all waiting on their incomings and out goings to approve transfers.

I have no basis for this, but that's what I am hoping on.

We all knew Anel was off, I guess money in the bank is worth more than a quality CB for a couple of games at risk of not getting the offer again?

Imagine if we had turned it down, then come the end of the transfer window we get an offer for half the amount and accept it. He would have been leaving on a free at the end of the season anyway.

The Korean RB has said that he doesn't know where he will be, PL Bundesliga or Championship. That to me suggests we are an option but they are holding out for a better option. next 10 days will decide this.

Seasons aren't won in the first 3 or 4 games. If we end the transfer window with some good additions I will be very happy.

Monitoring?
Looking?
Scouting?
Reviewing?
Contemplating all the above?
Or prompting CoPilot to craft an initial approach?

Nope. You’re correct.
“Seasons aren't won in the first 3 or 4 games.”
But they can set the tone and be lost in that time.
Luton last season, as an example.

It’s very hard to play catch up in the Champ and if you throw away the first half dozen games because you haven’t planned it effectively, and are banking on the release of potential quality at the end of a transfer window, then that makes the task so much harder.

Yeah, the atmosphere on here maybe…But who cares about that?

If the Blades don't sign any player at all this week and play the same team and tactics that we all know does not work.
We will lose again. Can't defend, can't score. The players don't know how to play the tactics Selles wants; in other words
Bad management.lose against Millwall. Selles must be sacked; we can't carry on like we are doing. Poor owners who don't seem to know anything about football.
Wilder won't be coming back this time. The new owners must appoint Sausage Rohl. I think he is a very good young manager. We have better players than wendy.
He will be great for us. We still need players to come in urgently, whatever they decide.

Don’t agree with most of that, but Rohl is a very good manager IMHO. Incidentally, I suspect the board think that too.

….But now we seem to be flexing our financial muscles…Just like Rocky against Apollo Creed and Micky the pikey in Snatch… We’re gonna get up of the canvas and knock the fucking bejesus out of this league…Mark my words.

Third year only applies if the stay in the PL was 2+ seasons.

It's based on the equal share which is roughly £90m per season so 55% is about £50m and 45% £40m.
Bloody hell, I assumed we’d have another albeit reduced parachute payment next season too. We’re in more of a mess than I thought.

If we sign 3 defenders will that not strengthen the team ?

Still think a striker is a must. Campbell can't and won't play 95 minutes a game 2/3 times a week. Cannon and One won't get the goals needed for the top 6. We've lost Brewster and Moore as options.

Sounds like Selles wants attackers 🫡
