He was in the England team because for awhile he was very clearly one of the best English players! Loved watching him link with Kane etc when he was flying.

Was a shame he seemingly peaked early and has dropped away.

I’m surprised more don’t go his way actually, and suspect it will become more common as football continues to eat itself; surely theres a generation of players now who are completely set for life by 23; not just them, but their families as well. As soon as they have a dip in form or drop a bollock, they start getting slaughtered on social media and on telly from pundits, papers, Youtubers etc.

Unless they are super committed, why bother with the arseache? A couple of years tossing it off in Qatar paying 0% tax on idiotic money, and then just retire to their mansions at 25. In fact id rather have Ravel Morrison back again (no I don't want him either). At least with RM it wasn't a lack of effort it bad attitude, it was just that his brain couldn't get attuned to the professional game and where he needed to be in a disciplined formation. He tried. Ali is just a lause cause with touch money too soon and a lack of actually giving a shit for the shirt he is supposed to represent. A million fuck offs from me for this suggestion.
