So we need three polls.

One to establish if it is a 1-2 or 3 match ban.

One to establish who was responsible for the mistake.

One to find how much compo the winner of the above should pay us all.

If only Fallowfield weren't banned then all the FACT's would have been provided. 😂

I'm going for.

Two match ban,
It doesn't matter.
It won't happen.

Option three for Fallowfield.

If the ref believed Foderingham was going for the ball and the foul was in the penalty area, it would have been yellow. If he thought Foderingham was doing a deliberate foul (ie. not going for the ball) in the penalty area, then it would have been red. As it was outside the penalty area, it was red either way and Foderingham's intentions weren't relevant.

Interestingly, when he signalled for the penalty, the ref first put his hand to the left hand pocket (where he kept his red card) and took it away without pulling a card out, then he put his hand to his right hand pocket (where he kept his yellow card) and took it away without pulling a card out, and by then he was being spoken to by players of both sides (saying different things, presumably) and then went to talk to the linesman.

My guess would be that it would have been a yellow card if it had been a penalty.
So were our players claiming it was a penalty in order to avoid the red card 😕😕 It seemed like they were pleading for it to be outside the box 😔

At Oxford in 1996, Mark Patterson handled a goal bound shot on or just behind the line. This was right in front of the United fans and you could distinctly hear him saying to the ref "it was in!!" To avoid being sent off. The ref agreed, so it was only a yellow and Oxford were 2-0 up (we lost 4-1 in the end)

Maybe I’m the only one but I’m actually annoyed with Wes right now when you glance at the league table.

If he hadn’t done such a stupid thing and not only given a goal away but also resigned us to playing with a man less for 75 minutes plus, we were well in that game and could have won. We were the ones showing attacking intent.

Not just that though, despite October being dreadful with 13 injuries which saw us take 3 points from 18 whilst Burnley took 12, we could have been within 1 point.

For all the massive plaudits that have been lavished on Kompany and co all season, the guy who didn’t make the top 3 managers list even could have been one fixture swing away from winning the title.

It just annoys me somewhat that Burnley have been given this mantra as being miles better than everyone else.

Have they fuck.

It took a debilitating injury crisis to usurp our place at the top and even then, without a moment of total moronity from Wes, gifting them 3 points we’d still be potential Champions.

Fine margins and all that bollocks but what repercussions of such a basic, unenforced error of judgment.

You’re not wrong about Burnley being put on a bit of a pedestal - but a bit of a stretch to take it out on poor Wes 😂

There's never been a time in history when the second place team couldn't look at all the things that have gone right and wrong, and say that if the things that went wrong for us had gone right, and the things that went right for them had gone wrong, we could have won the league. You're assuming that Burnley's recent bad run is nothing to do with relaxing because it was (virtually) all settled?

Fair play to Burnley - the difference for you lot was that you didn't have anything go badly wrong all season. Everyone else had at least one blip.

Yes, you assume all else being equal.

I don’t recall you being without 13 first teamers at any point in the season and I don’t recall your keeper doing something so brain dead in a game that you were doing well in.

I’m not suggesting you are not a good team and don’t deserve to go up. I’m more annoyed at our own action with Wes - in all honesty I think most fans were looking forward to a good toe to toe but that got totally ruined.

Likewise our 23 points from the first 10 had us well ahead. Nobody could have legislated for having so many first teamers hit the physio room, some for the rest of the season. That’s the sort of impact that stops you potentially being Champions. In fact it’s fortunate we are on the cusp of achieving the main objective still. No squad could cope with so many absentees at once. When we went up last time Wilder had everyone fit almost all year. Them’s the breaks and as we know the Championship is especially unforgiving as the games come thick and fast.

On the same topic, I find it a nonsense about docking points when you made changes. If we’re up then I’d like us to give game time to a few. Not 10 at once like Liverpool did to us once against Fulham when we went down and Fulham didn’t but I’d like some players we are 50-50 on to get a run. That’s your right, you’ve earned it. It could make the manager decide to persevere with a player or replace him in the summer; these are important experiments.

I just say I also think it’s bad that at the awards you have Football people like Barry Fry and others suggesting Kompany should jump ship. It’s incredibly disrespectful.
