I never criticise our players usually
The boardroom, yes, but never the players or manager.

But I hate the way that the thickest of the thick always seem to make their way to Sheffield United eventually.

Three times he tried the basic necessity of being a footballer (controlling a football) and three times he couldn't do it

And yes he is a thick twat
I was also upset and disappointed but I dont like hearing that kind of comments towards our own boys :)

Not a drop
Will be later though

Quite amazing that it's one of the first thing directed at someone who loses their shit for a second

I didn't criticise the team, I didn't criticise the manager, or the performance

I criticised a bell end who thinks he's a footballer
He is a footballer. He is our left back. He played well. Up against a world class player. One error. One goal. What about all the times Mahrez didn't get the better of Lowe? Failed to mention that. He kept him at bay for most of the 90. But that is not good enough for you. Kinda pissed off with your slagging. Bell end yourself

Why didn't we press more though? At 3-0 down we let them take the absolute piss, especially their keeper. They quite happily press us in our own half, so why didn't we do the same. Nothing to lose.
I think we did try to press but the sneaky bastards kept moving the ball to someone else just before we got there!😠

Oh come on. It was always likely City would win this game. If it wasn't Jebbo making a mistake, someone else would have. They score two more goals, it wasn't Jebbo's fault we lost, they're just a far far better side
I'm not doubting City are far better, however in football that doesn't always win you the game.
I reckon Hecky and Co will be disappointed in all 3 goals.
1st - Jebbo silly challenge
2nd - mistake by Lowe and then the defence parts like the Red sea
3rd - poor marking by Lowe and Wes should do better.

The penalty.

Looked clumsy at first sight.

Having watched it in slow motion, I still can't tell for definite that Jebbo makes any contact with Silva. It looks like he gets a toe on the ball.

Where's the offence?

If there WAS contact with Silva's boot, it doesn't look like much more than the contact on Bash when he went down in their box. Bash's fall looked more awkward than Silva's dive though.
Ref gave us nothing all game.

He couldn’t wait to give fouls their way when there was any slight contact when we pressed them. There was one when their player turned and turned in his own half when pressed and he went down. It wasn’t a foul at all. It was good pressing.

We got absolutely clear fouls given to us. Literally no marginal stuff at all.

If he hadn’t given a pen there is no way VAR would have overturned it. Jebbo definitely grazes the ball. Next I’d have to see again but was it enough to take him off his feet? Not convinced.

There was even one where that fucking imbecile Lee Dixon was saying standing on someone’s toe didn’t ought to be a foul. Idiot. Incidentally McGoldrick should have had a pen v Arsenal when he got his toe trodden on, the season we went down but no, VAR was sleeping then.

Likewise if the Basham one was given I’m not convinced VAR would have reversed. They’d say there had been contact.

Lowe was very naive for the second, absolutely no need to get caught. Bad defending to let him waltz through.

Last one was a decent finish. Wes got a hand to it so might be disappointed but it was a decent finish.

Just a pity Ndiaye couldn’t get the ball out of his feet from the corner.

Good that quite a few players got on.

I thought Baldock stuck to his task well. Berge had a couple of moments. Until the second the defence held out well.

No disgrace. Probably better we lost by a few then it’s no individual’s single fault.

Let’s face it there are probably 19 teams worse than them in the top league so losing 3-0 is no disgrace. It’s the same as what they did to Bayern Munich.

Let’s finish off the league well and look forward to next season.

We sang loud, we sang proud, the players battled hard but despite this the FA Cup threw out another shock result.

The tv team were near me prior to kick off. I glared at Roy Keane - he looked scared.

True story.
That Roy Keane - is he a bit nesh?

Toe on the ball, no contact with Silva, what's the offence? I can see why the ref gave it in real time. I also thought it was clear when I saw it first time.
You only have to look at the agonising pain in his face to know it was a cheating dive - I feckin hate these cheats - even if contact was made there's no need to look like you are dying of pain , such tossers

thats as positive & better than we dreaded v a city side with haaland starting & likely repeat 1999 feat of treble. it was 3-0 but it was 65 mins until man city opened up us with their quality is a positive. & 2-0 is disappointing as you cant lose possession there. espically v top teams as they will punish you with there talent, it seemed a carbon copy of Leicester

not many teams can say haaland failed to score & who knows what could have happened if we scored in the 1st min

I think if we'd managed to get in 0-0 at HT then it could have been different.

The penalty killed it for me.

I'm reluctant to say Man City were there for the taking because they're a quality team but they did look off it today and Haaland never had a sniff.

But hey ho, we've had a good day out and we certainly didn't get embarrassed.

Now on to promotion on Wednesday night.

UTB ⚔️

Stuck in a shit traffic jam, it was a good day out, kept Haaland quiet but like someone else said, they have quality all over the pitch. My 4th semifinal, will I live long enough to see us win one? Perhaps not.UTB.

meant to post this pre match. but internet isnt much better at wembley than at the lane 😄

im always known here as the person who loves the cup on here anyway that was the 3rd round game v millwall. but on days like these. i will always wonder how anyone can be happy to lose in the fa cup & "concentrate on the league" surely as fans you live for these days

We've show this season that when we're defending a lead away from home, we've been excellent and quite comfortable at parking the bus.
So I knew we had an excellent chance of frustrating Man City and I expected it to be 0-0 at half-time with Man City struggling to create a chance.

First half was going to plan....in fact we have the best chances, so could have been 1-0 up
then Jebbison makes such a lazy and naive tackle gifting them a penalty. Their player was going no where, no danger but Jebbison still tries to win the ball.
We go in 1-0 down at half-time, now it's a mountain to climb.

2nd half we have to go for it more and again we're playing OK.
Then Lowe makes a terrible pass straight to Mahrez on the half way line.
Fair enough anyone can make a mistake but I thought the effort Lowe made to win the ball back was scandalous.
Mahrez is running with the ball whilst Lowe is just jogging behind him showing minimal effort, when he can see that his team mates in the defence are stretched.

That goal demonstrated the lack of desire Lowe has for SUFC, just based on that goal it's highlighted his heart isn't in it and his character is lacking.
At 2-0 down it was game over.

Man City then took their foot off the pedal, we also stopped trying as hard, accepting defeat.
Don't even think Man City played that well, we gifted them the 1st two goals, so they never needed to step it up.

Max Lowes body language is one who doesn’t give a monkeys toss. Get shut of him and quick. And we seriously need some pace in midfield . We need to be ruthless, thanks to old guard and all that to have any chance next year.

Agree totally. I'd have swapped promotion for an FA cup win any day of the week.

A truly boring second half. Not a sniff at any point. Fleck can do one. Until that silly penalty there could have been a bit of magic.

Definitely stuck a like on a misread post here,

Sorry but that's just plain stupid by both of us......
Why is it. An FA cup win you'd remember forever, a promotion less so. Don't get me wrong a promotion will be amazing, but the joy of winning a big trophy would top that for me.

Appreciate not many people would agree, but not sure it's a stupid comment.

We've just played against the fella that will break all kinds of goalscoring records this season and in the future. He could realistically end up being the greatest goalscorer of all time. And these are his stats against plucky little Sheff Utd:
