Whose fault is it?

Wes, I think. You could see Robbo had his head down and was going to hoof it and then stopped, which I assumed means that Wes called for it.

I played centre half and best bit of advice I was given was ' if in doubt kick it out '

You could hear Wes call for it, it was audible on TV. 😄
I need new ears (but I was watching SUTV so that's my excuse so there was probably no sound or Gage was in the middle of saying how comfortable we were)

Audible on Sky. Wes was shouting for it hence why he came out.

Robbo should know by now not to listen to it and punt it out. He has been doing for most of the season since their last fuck up.

Watched it a few times and it’s Wes’s fault entirely if he’d have stayed near his line he’d have had a pass back, after that we’ve had Bogle not doing his defensive duties properly by not ushering the ball for a corner and Calamity Jane in the net we’re our own worst enemy I said that we’ll go up by limping over the line.

Wes
Robinson has got that under control until wes comes hurtling out and causes confusion

You can clearly see Wes does put his hand up to call for it. Unsure if he needs to be there though.
Wes has no right to be anywhere near that ball.

What is he hoping to achieve? The ball isn’t entering the area. Robinson is nearer to it.

If the conclusion is kick it out then Robinson doesn’t need Wes for that.

Wes should have stayed in his 6 yard box. Really poor decision making.

He would have been an option for a pass if he’s stayed there. He just made the situation infinitely more complicated by coming out and adding no value to the situation.

wes is culpable. but this goes for any centre back just launch it into the stand every coach always says dont let the ball bounce. just because wes shouted shouldn't be an excuse. he has a brain of his own. as the old mum saying goes. "if wes told you to jump off a cliff would you"

take no chances, launch it for a throw in & then argue about it later

Even after the mix-up, there was no need for the foul. Okay maybe Tella would have scored. But we would only have been 1-0 down with 11 players on the field and most of the game remaining. And Wes wouldn't be banned for two very important games.

Wes stays on his line and it's different gravy.

Let's hope that's the fuck ups out the way until the prem now....

As JR looked to prepare a clearance, Tella gave him a little push. This may have got JR a little off balance and a bit too close to Wes, making him decide he'd better leave it (to Wes).

I noticed the shove n all… nobody made anything of it, definitely thought it put him off..

Still, it’s down to Wes, if he’s nowhere near it then Robinson has it sorted, but as he’s committed himself, then clear the bastard thing and take Robinson with it

These are my thoughts too. At 11 a side we were knocking it about well and had about 70 odd percent possession early on. Even going 1 down I dont think we’d have lost.

Then again, I’ve not got a split second to make that decision. I wonder if he thought at the angle he might get away with a yellow but the ball was that aimless in the first place, we didnt even have anyone covering

No need for Wes to get involved, Robinson should have booted the ball to row z.
Wes gave the free kick away and got sent off so Wes is to blame.

I’ll ask you again, what if Wes has shouted and Robinson ignores him, leading to them both trying to clear the ball at the same time?

Every ‘coach’ would say listen to the shout and then get out of the way.

that would be true if wes was close. but he wasnt. every coach says if in danger put it out for throw in. don't take a risk if you dont have to. you will see it multiple times up & down the football league. Jack Robinson was closest to the ball. youve got to take charge

Wes wasn’t close? I must’ve seen a different incident

Just a basic Sunday morning football error, GK if he is coming screams Goalies and smashes it into row 56

How big are Wes foderingham legs LJBlade

A snapshot doesn’t tell the whole story.

In that imagine Robinson isn’t in a position to clear the ball and Wes is clearly indicating his intention to come for it. By the time Robinson is in a position to clear it Wes is there in front of him, looking like he’s about to get rid.

It's Wes for me. Keeper can see the danger. Too slow to come for it and when he does he has to just smash it out. Pathetic really.

Robinson could have kicked out but Wes calls and seems like he is dealing with it.

Awful keeping and completely cost us the game and him 2 games. Dreadful play and a moment of absolute madness at a crucial time of the season.

Wes has been solid for us but made some cocks up this year with too many shots going in near post (the red card v Blackpool was stupid too) and shows why if we go up we need to upgrade.

Absolutely this. Robbo clears it and argues with Wes later.
