Feels like a free hit. A loss wouldn't be a disaster given our recent form and Boro and Luton's failure to keep pace. Barring disaster we are up, unlike our past two top PL promotions where we were nervy all the way to the end of April.

He was unlucky in that it wasn't given, but he did not help himself by staying on his feet. It was a clear shirt pull, if he sells it the ref gives it. Argue he shouldn't have to sell it, and you'd be right, but that's the way the game is now. Give the referee a harder decision to make.
An amazing no decision for that pull back!
Completely different aproach by this ref who so no evil.
Going back to the Wrexham ref ! How do they see things so differently he couldn't wait to punish us, this one must have been blind to miss this one.
Anal was also pulled back at the kop end 1st half ! This ref seemed to favour Wigan with the big decisions.

Does Luton and Boro playing beforehand have an effect on our mentality and approach to the game?
Normally I would say yes, but then you hear Wes didn’t even know the scores so who can say!
Personally I think if Luton and Boro drop points it will have a positive effect on us. I think it’ll give us the freedom to go for the win, and that is when we are at our best.

Regardless, personal pride suggests the boys will be well up for this match. The media and VK himself have turned this game in to some sort of redemption grudge match. For that very reason I’m very much looking forward to it. Love it when it’s us-verses-them! UTB ⚔️

Wes might not but alot of the players will check the results.

I think Hecky and Doyle both admitted that in the past.

Burnley already promoted will be playing without fear tonight, and they have a score to settle!
I think (but hope not) we might just get a footballing lesson tonight and a trouncing.
Hopefully I'll be proved wrong and we come away with a point or three!

We’ll get beat comfortably tonight we can’t deal with quick sides.

Take a draw now, but will be over the moon with 3 points later!!

Burnley's promotion party.

We need to be careful here and it depends how they react. They may take the foot off the gas but equally might play with absolutely no fear. Concede early and he might be on the end of a tonking. Keep it tight and the longer it goes on the more chances we'll get.

Should be a great atmosphere in the stadium, either way.

Would bite your hand off for a draw.

Ben HD predicts 5-2 to Burnley

Get to 55 mins and we’re losing 1-0 we will draw if it’s 0-0 we just might win , losing by more than 1 at 55 mins and forget it !

we need to get at them but worried they’ll be too quick for us, got a feeling we might get smashed

no Lowe still.

Our midfield will need to be on top form. I presume Doyle will push out to the left. Not sure that will work.

I hope with Norwood back in, they let Doyle keep his pivot role where he has been so dynamic and let Norwood play alongside him and help us keep possesion over the half way line (which is the role he played at Fulham). But, I doubt it, I suspect he will be back at the base of midfield, where I feel he tends to squeeze Doyle into more marginals spaces.
