Wes
Bogle - Anel - Egan - RND - Lowe
Doyle
Berge - McAtee
NDiaye - McBurnie

Now that is a good side with huge potential to get better and better.
Norwood is one of our best and most influential players so leaving him out and putting a couple of loan lads from Man City is a bit daft.

They are all fine and they should be rotated to keep them all fresh in what is the highest workrate position the way we play

Agree

Right back: Bogle is much more of an attacking giving us a new dimension but Baldock is brililant to have as backup.
Left back: RND slightly better than Lowe but both are very good.

You know how so many visiting teams sit back parking the bus at Bramall Lane and we often to struggle to break them down.
I would think with Bogle and Lowe in the team then we'll create for more chances to score, so their tactic to "park the bus" won't be as effective.

Really looking forward to seeing both Lowe and Bogle start, especially at Bramall Lane, where we can be more attack minded.
Just add Ahmedhodzic and Clark as overlapping defenders, and we can frighten the EPL. :)

In all honesty i cant see Stevens being with us next season whether its in the Prem or Championship so that'll leave us with 2 players in each lwb/rwb positions
Bogle & Baldock/Lowe & RND all 4 are very capable.

One thing PH got bang on at Blackpool was bringing Baldock on when he did. It was timed perfectly and worked perfectly. Want to see more of that from him

If we can get 10 starts out of Bogle..... that'll be enough. Will also protect him. Should start all of the upcoming home games though

Baldock should and will continue to play a lot. He's one of the absolute key reasons we're able to continue churning out wins in this system at this level - along with Egan and Norwood mainly. Stalwarts with great mentalities

I’d try Bogle and Baldock together. One on the left, one on the right. They’re comfortably our best wing backs IMO.

Isn't most of this best team/best player talk a load of bollocks. Different players and different combinations are better in different situations.

For some positions it's clear who our strongest players are. I'd say at the moment this is true for the back three and the keeper. But in other positions - especially wingbacks it's not so clear at all, and depends on the opposition, the state of the game, the fitness of the squad, fixture congestion etc etc etc.

It seems daft to say Bogle is better than Baldock, or vice versa.

Bogle obviously played a major part in the first goal against Blackpool and I'm not sure George's toes can twinkle like that. But at another point in the game one of their players feinted to put in a cross and Bogle fell for it completely, in a way that Baldock never would.

When we needed to unpick their defence in the way we had planned, Bogle was probably the best choice. When we were protecting a lead George was probably best choice.

It's been a squad game for 20-odd years.

Yep, Bogle/Lowe to attack, Baldock/RND to offer more defensively.

Prefer the latter but glad we have the former. Want my cake and to eat it.

Would be very surprised if Stevens is here next here, however I don't really think Lowe would compete in the Prem either.

Bogle is the future and the more exciting player, but he does have a injury record and Baldock has not put a foot wrong this year. No reason both can't push each other for a few more seasons, Baldock could possible be converted to a overlapping RCB aswell.

Baldock could possible be converted to a overlapping RCB aswell.

Can't see it.

Baldock doesn't have any height so would be our weakness in the air defending crosses.
Also he lacks composure with the ball and has rushes of blood regards passing, crossing and shooting.

The overlapping centre back role is a really specialist role that few centre backs in world football can do effectively.
We were very lucky to have Basham and O'Connel as both had loads of experience playing as full backs and as centre backs
So this dual role was perfect for them. Ahmedhodzic has already shown he has the qualities to be a real good overlapping RCB too.

Agree with the rest of your post though, Bogle does look a really exciting player, he gives us a new dimension attack wise.
Stevens is looking past it but Baldock still looks solid, he's tenacious in the tackle, possibly better at defending than Bogle.

Bogle and Lowe add a whole new dimension to our team. RND at LCB is still the most underrated player of the season up until his fitness issues. Hopefully he can get back to that level when he returns.

Love Baldock, not so much Stevens, but Bogle and Lowe are a much better (and younger i.e. the future) product.

Love Bogle, he's a top player and a tremendous attacking threat.

But, sometimes he just completely forgets to defend, like it's some sort of optional extra.

Still has work to do on that side of his game. A couple of recent matches he's dived in when he didn't need to.

Baldock obviously has to be RWB but would anyone play Bogle at LWB? Not a big Lowe myself but obviously helps having a leftie..

Haha, this thread is full of gold looking back. So many falling for that charlatan Bogle. Imagine picking him over Baldock, Jesus Christ...

If everybody was available, my wing-backs would be Bogle and Norrington-Davies.
Though, there's little-to-no drop off with Baldock & Lowe

Stevens, for almost 3 years now, has looked rusty and a shadow of his old self. Still a top lad though and he can't help his body giving up on him. He served us well in our rise under Wilder.

3 months on and this opinion has changed.
We've missed Baldock a lot.
