He expected him to turn up and now he's a bit disappointed, FFS grow a set DW and get out their sorting out replacements.

It's taken us about 6 years to find a midfielder of his quality, do you think we're going to stumble across another, especially while we're in the shit leagues? I don't. I couldn't give two shits if DW has to kiss his arse in public, I want us to have the best squad possible. That would involve McDonald.

He was scared off by the hordes of press and big Zoko who was going to fill him in.

Either that, or back in the real world he's other things to attend to and talks are still ongoing.

I want us to have the best squad possible too, I also think it would be prudent to expect the worst that can happen will happen (lets face it, it would be the blades way to lose them on deadline day) and to start making alternate plans. otherwise the best squad possible for us will have Doyle and Monty in midfield.

I don't get the fuss. It's up to Kmac whether he trains with us as he's not contracted. Danny obviously wants him back in the fold and invited him to join up. So Danny's allowed to be disappointed (aren't we all?), just as Kmac is allowed to sit at home and watch Jeremy Kyle.

Next!

As always I favour the diplomatic route. I have no hesitation therefore in suggesting that Billy Tight Shirt should be brought in to have a word with them.

K mac will be at training tomorrow. Hopefully close to a new deal.. It appears utd have been a bit creative. Let's hope so but signs are good.

Please accept my apoloigies if I am wrong but you are new to this forum and you seem to offer 'ITK' information but don't say how you know.....why do I get the feeling you are a WUM ?

We might not have got McDonald or Williamson next year, but i still think a fully fit, and firing on all cylinders Nick Montgomery can do a superb job for us in midfield next season.

Can't believe people still think Monty will be good enough for us. When will they realise that he isn't?

You're a very naughty boy.

Indeed. I can see a vacancy on the RAPFA round table soon.

Matthew Kelly : So Nick, you are 30 years of age, you play football for a living, in your spare time you point at aeroplane and imitate a dog chasing a football whilst playing football

Monty: Yes, that's right Matthew

Matthew Kelly : And the person you will playing tonight was a great hero of yours when you was growing up, and someone you've always wanted to be.

Monty: Yes, always been a big hero of mine.

Matthew Kelly :So who are you going to be then Nick

Monty : Tonight Matthew, i'm going to be Johan Neeskens.

Crowds laughs.

We won't sign KMac and Willo until Monty and Quinn are off the wage bill.

Says who? have the club announced a revolving door policy while I've been on my hols ? I was under the impression (same as everyone else I assumed) that we were just waiting for them both to accept new terms. If we cant afford them we wouldn't have made them new offers surely.

I wouldn't be so quick to get rid of Quinn personally, he had some fantastic games last season and was heavily involved in some of our best performances. Like everyone else he had some bad games, but in reality, he's one of the better midfield players at our current level.

KMac had his fair share of ineffective games, although looked a class above when he was in the mood, but if his heart was at the Lane he'd surely have signed by now. Not sure I want him to sign last minute, just because he hasn't had a better offer.

As for Monty, now he is shite!

I know where you're coming from Brownie but without KMac or a similar replacement, we're looking a bit thin creatively in midfield and I don't think Monty fills that gap. Neither does Doyle and much as I have been a Monty fan I think he needs to move on and we need to move on. KMac and the likes of him are the way forward for me

Quinn needs to be retained. He had the highest assists in the League last season.
How could we replace that?

K mac is back in Sheffield. He came back on Friday. Deal should be done over the weekend. He was coming back on Wednesday but as per usual the ever moving ball park of a united contract was up in the air. Does anyone really care about the ifs buts and maybes . Surely we want as many good players we can hold on to committing to another crack at it. If the kid from man utd is as good as they say then we are certainly better off than we were for the last 6 or 7 games of the season. Who knows if any of the others will go , if they don't want to stay then better to let them go anyway. Time is moving on and lets face it when January comes if we are up there then the merry go round will start again anyway. By that time a new player will have already been selected for the boo boys.

he was in yesterdays star training with the lads.

Each post appears to a rumour about KMac. He's signing,he is in Sheffield,he is in Sheffield/not in Sheffield, training etc. Brand new to the forum and doesn't contribute to any other thread. I may be wrong and if I am,I will apologise unreservedly
