You cannot be better than someone without there being a comparison otherwise you would not know one is better than the other !!
Maybe, but I don't say N'Diaye is our best player and think the others are crap. I just think he'll go to the top and fetch in a big fee.

Berge looked fucked, lazy, slow and not bothered. Poor poor game. If that was Osborn he'd be slated to hills.

Thought Berge was decent 1st half. When ever there's space to attack he's capable of driving runs.
However in the 2nd half he did his disappearing act. When we have spells without the ball Berge shows little leadership and seems to struggle.

Although a positive note is he played better than in the Huddersfield match where he was shockingly poor, very rusty.

He was very good for the first 20 minutes until he screwed up that very presentable chance to score.

After that, he did his usual and disappeared. Sometimes that's temporary and he re-emerges, tonight he wasn't even offering nuisance value in the second half

How anyone thinks he's capable of holding down a place in a decent side in a top-five League is (still) beyond me.

Still getting the benefit of the doubt from me as first start in a long time. He can be so slow and ponderous though. Especially when tracking back. He kept going though in fairness and still trying but needs to get much sharper.

Fuck me, do we have to do this EVERY time someone comes back from injury.

It's going to take time for him to get back up to full pace, yes he was awful in the 2nd half. It's not his fault Hecky didn't take him off though.

Peoples initial reactions just to slate players when we've just won a match, without thinking why they're having a bad game, must have so much enjoyment in their life.

Thought his game went as expected considering he’s far from fit. Decent first half, struggled second half.

As Chingo said, 90 minutes will have done him the world of good

Berge was his usual laconic self tonight , so frustrating to watch.
We need to clone Ndiaye's attitude & desire and whack a big injection of it right up Berge's x,,!!&#
I wouldn't give you £30 for Berge , never mind £30m.
He's playing for a top team against a bottom team tonight and he can't even make an impression on the game.
Playing like that , either he's already got a transfer sorted or he's never gonna get one.

Hecky must be the only person on earth that can't see when Berge is knackered. He's huge and plays a key role which involves lots of running so he's obviously going to tire sooner than most, plus he's only just back from injury. He can't do more than 70 minutes at the moment as he just looks ineffective after that which puts more pressure on his team mates. Why is this so difficult for Hecky to comprehend?

He looked excellent for 35 minutes and then looked like Hammond from that point onwards until full time.

He has to do more for me.

If Osborn had been on the bench then he would have been pulled after 60 mins.

Dead easy to sit watching and accuse players of being lazy, there's very few that are and if they start slacking they get fucking pelters from the management and other players so don't be fooled. Berge looks slow and languid and rather than lazy, for me he was fucked after an hour. Should have swapped him for Doyle at that point rather than leave him on with a chance of getting injured again.

Looked great for the first 20-30 minutes and then faded badly. Maybe he's not quite fit but it wouldn't be the first time we've seen similar performances. He has moments where he shows he's got real quality driving with the ball, but then other times he's careless or weirdly, for the size of him, gets knocked off the ball far too easily.

I like him, but I don't imagine there's a queue of clubs wanting to sign him. What I will say is that not once has he said he's unhappy or wanted a big move. Very professional in that respect and genuinely seems to enjoy playing for the club.

Anel is a shadow of the player he was pre glandular fever , it takes time to get back upto speed

I've been on the fence for a while (sceptical but trying to stay objective) but tonight was a poor showing for a reputable £20m player.... We/he should be controlling games like that, not disappearing into the Wigan night...

Hearing our fan base slaughter Osborn on Saturday, I'd suggest at least Osborn runs around a lot which rubs off on the others. Lurch just meanders about, which sadly rubs off.

Watching him and Stevens in that left channel was truly awful. Like a tramp and a seagull trying to get a chip...

He really needs to get more involved physically. At the moment he looks the shell of the £20m player we bought.

good first half hour after that didnt look interested and should have been pulled after an hour mcatee best player for us for an hour but that game tonight proves even more that we need a goalscoring midfielder and another striker this january

That was a 6/10. Decent first half, knackered second half. Not his fault he played the 90.
Exactly this. Played well until he was clearly shafted. He's regaining match fitness and should have been replaced on 60 by Doyle. Poor management and it nearly cost us tonight.

Berge will improve and will be vital for the run in.

Literally exactly this.

Sadly noticed the same thing.
It can dog at you for months.
Hopefully we don't flog him too much if he starts showing signs of waning when we get back to the "satdi, tues'di" calendar. Need to use our squad and protect our best players. Not flog them, as per Berge tonight..
