Bit weird that from our side but I suppose he would be seen as more experienced and playing for a team in Turkey who finished fifth.

I don’t know how you place the Turkish League. They seem to pick up a lot of misfits that don’t fit elsewhere though also pick up players who wouldn’t consider the Championship, like Ozil (though I know he has Turkish origins). They have the pull of being able to say they play in Europe too. Still I’d bet a top Championship team like say Fulham can give Alayaspor a good game.

Still, he’s getting a good experience. Might be good that he comes back boosted from it, determined to get more but not too overexposed that he thinks remaining with us is a massive comedown.

He scored 13 in 28 for them last season. This year looks like he's been injured as only played 2 league games.
