Injuries

I thought we had taken on a new fitness/conditioning coach at the start of the season. I now last season injuries were bad bot nothing like as bad as this season. Should somebody be asking questions of the new coach and his techniques?

In general it seems most teams are Carrying more injuries than normal. We,re getting defenders back but now short on top.

Thought Hecky spoke very well regarding the injuries in his post match presser

Potentially 3 injured today
Brewster obviously
Bash swearing at himself after the big tackle and then subbed?
Baldock? Although nothing caught my eye with him so fingers crossed both Baldock and Bash are ok

Have to say I have never known anything like this in 50+ years of being a Utd supporter

Me neither.

We get a couple back, then lose a couple more, every single time.

Anyone know if George came off injured? 0 reason for him to be brought off. He was feeling his leg as well I think

Took a bad
kick to the leg in the first half. 1.53

So, is Dave Rogers a sports scientist as the impression I get is someone arguing with someone who clearly knows a lot more than him, through personal education and experience? It seems a bit like me tweeting Iliman to tell him how to do a Cryuff turn.

I am no sports scientist but It will be those bad luck supplements I reckon. 😄

Ah yes I forgot Baldock and the WBA kicked each other going for the ball. Looked a painful whack for George.

Asaba may have a point, he’s been there and done it, I haven’t. I’d hope we’re looking at every possibility though. It may be bad luck but you can’t put it down to that until you’ve ruled out every other possible reason. Once the new training pitches are in use, we should at least be able to rule that out. I’m sure Hecky’s taking it very seriously as, ultimately, it could cost him his job.

I am sure Hecky is taking it seriously but it has to be said we never had injuries on this scale prior to him taking charge.

One thing I do know is that a kick can turn into an injury, it’s like having a bruise in your muscle which weakens it. Made sense to bring him off before that happened. He’s too important for us at the moment.
The subs really disrupted us but were all made to protect players from more injuries. It’s a shit watch because it’s always in the back of your mind that if we conceded one, West Brom would really push for another and might have got one but really, as McCarthy was hinting at, they could have played for three hours and probably not scored. Once I’d seen the replay of the one where Anel cleared on the line, and their player bottled the header a bit, I knew they didn’t have the bollocks to turn it round. I won’t pretend I enjoyed it though, would’ve been a lot happier if we’d have got a third. Hence, I was quite happy when he changed Fleck for Brewster. It didn’t work that well but it showed attacking intent rather than trying to sit deep and soak it up.

We never had Covid before Wilder took over but I’m not going to blame him for it. We started with injuries before Hecky took over, had them when he was in his first spell and had them when Slav was in charge. It’s since got worst.
It could well be something he’s doing, but it could also be related to a number of other things. I don’t have a problem with people suggesting it might be his fault, I do have an issue with posters who act like they know it’s his fault.

I know it's his fault, I saw him putting the sniper rifle back in it's case. :)

It really needs looking at. The amount of injuries is beyond bad luck now. There is something fundamentally wrong.
Maybe Princey will have to sanction a few incomings in January just to put a side out seems as soon as they come back someone gets injured

Doubt the owners will Sanction any more purchase with out any sales. We went over budget to finance the deal for Anel in the summer

The club has had too many injuries for 2 seasons now. With only part way into this season there are already 2 more injuries than last season the revolving injury door keeps spinning.
Lots of excuses but we will never get near the playoffs, until this is dealt with there will be few fit players left.

All those covid postponements fucked us
We've had nothing but injuries since id love to see the stats for the amount of games weve played since
