D Dimer is only really sensitive for an acute blood clot so not really of much used randomly in asymptomatic people. If anyone at BDTBL medical/physio analysists actually reads these threads, - and heaven forbid if anyone there knows anything about mRNA gene therapies -
May I suggest you give all your playing staff a D-dimer test.
Oh, by the way, the tests should be carried out on the "vaccinated" players only, in order to save money.
Not for a moment do I suggest that the jabs may be responsible for our horrendous and unprecedented soft tissue injuries.
Nothing whatsoever to do with micro clots induced by the jab....
Poor old NRD.
Re the link is it possible to send to me? thanks in advanceD Dimer is only really sensitive for an acute blood clot so not really of much used randomly in asymptomatic people.
Nice article in BMJ Heart today about the significant increase in cardiac complications post Covid. Would you like the link?
Thanks for the information re D-dimer (my expertise, such as it is, relates more to immunology).D Dimer is only really sensitive for an acute blood clot so not really of much used randomly in asymptomatic people.

All true. But the evidence currently shows that the risk of clots from vaccination is tiny, whereas the risk of clots and other cardiovascular problems from covid infection (even in mild and asymptomatic cases) is significantly higher. Nobody has ever said that vaccination is risk free but it is much less risky than not being vaccinated. It would be interesting to know the injury rates between players who have had covid and those that haven’tThanks for the information re D-dimer (my expertise, such as it is, relates more to immunology).
My concern relates to blood clots, particularly micro clots/myocarditis which can apparently be induced by both covid infection and the mRNA vaccines. Immunohistochemistry can distinguish natural infection from the gene based spike. There are recent papers placing more blame on the latter.
Given the fact that United, and others are suffering unprecedented numbers of injuries - (unfortunately, I've been a fan since the mid 60's) I sought to think of possible explanations.
It would be interesting to know the injury rates for vaxxed v. unvaxxed players - but there's no chance of that being done and made public.
That said, I think I'd better shut up - I can see me being banned for going off topic (I'm not) but more particularly for committing the heinous heresy of being considered an antivaxxer.
No, he's going to go and have a second opinion. He's getting his head round it and which way he wants to go with it
Enda and Ciaran back in fully today which is great. Nice for them to be involved today

The list is getting shorter.. just the 7 injured.
O'Connell
Bogle
RND
Lowe
Coulibaly
Berge
Jebbison

O'Connell - knee ligaments - poss patella tendon(?); training
Bogle - ACL recovery complications; match/surgery
RND - hamstring; match
Lowe - hamstring; match
Coulibaly - knee ligaments; training
Berge - ankle ligaments; match
Jebbison - ankle ligaments; training
A few on that list expected to be back in January. RND and Bogle are the two we may not see again this season.
Annoyingly no one else to comeback pre world cup now other than Clark and Stevens.
Anecdotal in the sense that other fans seem to complain of long injury lists when we play them.I'd be interested in seeing your statistics on "...others are suffering unprecedented numbers of injuries".
nucleocapsids
Down to two soft tissue injuries too. The other 5 are all joint/ligament issues. You could argue that McBurnie (hernia) should be on the list too.
Bogle possibly out for the season?! Really? And RND out for 7 months with a hamstring?
Or you could discuss it with the rest of the heinous anti-vaxxers on the thread dedicated to it.That said, I think I'd better shut up - I can see me being banned for going off topic (I'm not) but more particularly for committing the heinous heresy of being considered an antivaxxer.
