It would be incredibly harsh to drop Doyle, he's unlucky not to have a goal to his name yet.

Don't know the stats but I can almost guarantee Doyles xG and xA per 90 is far superior to Fleck.

Surely just a matter of time before Doyle pings worldy into the corner of the net.

Came upon this contribution elsewhere. No. it isn't corroborated and I am not saying it is correct. It is however IMO interesting and food for thought.

"Heckingbottom will bring in a number of coaches to support his role, including former Blades players Jack Lester, who becomes head of player development, and Stuart McCall, who is the new assistant manager. Further announcements with regards to the structure of the football department will be made in due course."

Statement from the Club 11 months ago. No further announcements on structure and new coaches for the rest of the season. Tom Little came in the summer as Head of Performance. Vacancies at the academy and goalkeeping coach were filled by people just moving up the ladder. No replacement for Head of medical services, no new bodies overall suggests trimming of the structure not enhancing it.

Promises were also made at the time about investing in facilities. That investment is not additional its reducing the playing budget to pay for pitch improvements. We didn't have enough money for 2 desso pitches so we had to mix, match and patch. Pitch improvements not ready till November, team having to train on u23 pitches and not enough space for rehab work outside. The players haven't had full training sessions for 7 weeks as a consequence. Taking all this into account the manager has done well to get us where we currently are.

There still has to be questions asked about the standard of fitness and conditioning with the number of pulls and strains and why player recovery is so slow. The type of weekly probing you'd get from an experienced Director of Football in situ. Our plate spinning structure doesn't seem to allow for this meaning that pro active problem solving is non existent and issues drift until eventually they reach crisis mode as it has done now with injuries. Van Winkel has gone so there is no one at Board level with football experience that could question the competence of the fitness team. This lack of accountability is likely to hinder significantly our prospects for promotion.
So have we been over working them, or not working them enough with the missed trainings? I've lost track.

Reckons we've got new desso training pitches here.

Given I don't post with you in mind that's utter irrelevance.

As I've previously stated I'm asking questions to which I don't have answers. Asking the question is a good way to get the answer.
Given you have admitted you haven't got a clue I don't see why you bothered to post. but thanks.

JOC's injury has deffo been mismanaged somewhere in it's early days.

It's hard to pinpoint the others down. Some are just kind of occurances, such as landing/falling awkward and pulling muscles.
I'd like to think that our high intensity training isn't a contributing factor because surely that would be easy enough to spot.

Seems though like such a combination of injuries it's not one reason for them all.

JOCs injury dates back to his teenage years.

There was a story about Steven’s being incorrectly diagnosed a season or two ago

Speaks volumes for our elite medical staff. 11 first teamers out kind of nails it!

Not really. You're saying the club is causing it by simultaneously under and over working them.
And we've 'just patched up the training pitches' .
You might enjoy looking for scapegoats at the club, I'll point out if I think you are contradicting yourself, or don't know certain facts.
No problem.

"The mistake, which was not made by United’s in-house medical department, meant the Republic of Ireland international spent weeks being treated for an issue which did not exist."

"The actual source of Stevens’ discomfort was only discovered when, with the support of United’s own experts, he sought a second opinion."

"Medical experts found that he wasn't injured at all but just horribly out of form."

God you're hard work. No. I don't have the answers, but that dosen't matter a jot.
What matters hugely is neither does the club.
The only thing I know with 100% certainty if the injury situation and it's causes/treatments/recovery times aren't addressed as a matter of the highest priority we will finish lower mid table .
The implcations of that will define us for years to come.

You say you don't have the answers, but constantly do posts like I replied to.
You like pointing the finger, then don't back it up.
If you don't like the replies, hard luck.

So I ask a question, suggest one or more possible answers but because like you I can't say for certain which is correct you look to criticise.
I'm pointing the finger at the club. What I want to know and (you apart) am having interesting debate about is which element of the club is responsible. One is.
I love replies. I am though really bored with what I honestly see as rubbish from you.
Have a lovely evening.

They weren't suggestions. You made two very specific claims. Both made up / wrong.
One was the training pitch had been patched up, instead of replaced. Then commented on our medical team and Enda.
Both completely wrong.
You obviously don't want to get to the bottom of the issue, or you wouldn't have a mardy fit when I've told you that those posts are wrong.

If you have a good point, I'll post agreeing with you. If you post stuff I know is wrong, I'll post that too.
Thanks, you too.

You clearly have problems understanding simple English.
I have asked questions. I have been very clear I don't know who carrys the can for obvious and serious issues that impact on the availability of players and am genuinely interested in knowing who they are.

I'm happy for you to reply and have the last word on this.
It isn't remotely important for my ego to care about pathetic things like that.
It is even less important to me to continue butting heads with anyone on the internet.
UTB.

Last time I knew footballers play football and sometimes get injured .the body will allways take its own time to recover with a little help from the physios .as for the new training pitches they are state of the art Desso,s . Available next month .

Have you looked at the number of players unavailable to us compared to every other team in the league?
Last count was 11 for us, all of whom would be first team squad. Check it out yourself.
State of the art Dessos available next month you say. So that has impacted, is impacting us until then.
Be outside the play offs by then.

Top of the table and top of the injury table too.

The only team that comes close is Norwich, weirdly, although their injuries mostly look to be academy lads and reserve teamers.

We have four or five first teamers out; nine (or more) in total.

Sounds like Robinson, fleck and anel could all be available for Saturday .Here’s hoping.
That would be superb.

If Robinson can come back anywhere near the form he ended the season that would be a very solid defence.

Though he has been excellent at LCB, Rhys is the best option at LWB if Lowe is out I feel.

Robinson and Ahmedhodžić alongside Egan would also be good from set pieces as Robinson has that aggression from dead balls.

Fleck is that other option we've been missing.

Optimistic is these are really back.

Get Bash at RWB until Bogle is back.

Both lwb, both rwb and three cbs. That's not including JOC and Ozzy. We have two players to cover every position but I'm actually surprised that we can put out 5 defenders at the minute.

Have a horrible feeling we won't be seeing Bogle for a while. A 100% healthy knee doesn't swell up after 60mins of football. We all thought he was rushed back somewhat. If he is out for an extended period of time then serious questions have to be asked of our physio team. Especially after the JOC fiasco.

Fucking criminal.

Berge and Bogle back after the World Cup. So that is anywhere between December 18th and the end of the season.
That puts any bids for Berge off until the summer.
