So all these people HAVE been to the police with their conclusive proof the girl is lying (and not one of them has mentioned it, given they are so interested in local justice).... AND the police have not done a single thing to investigate all of these cast-iron claims?

Maybe the police will be investigating if they now have evidence ,it sounds like they may have a lot on their plate at the moment. This will not quietly die away though in my opinion.

I am afraid you are barking up the wrong tree. The alleged offence happend May 2011. The trial was nearly a year later. You can bet your life Ched's lawyers sent people to Rhyl to see if there was any evidence the complainant had said to anyone it wasn't true (and she had almost a year to say it). No such evidence emerged at trial and the idea that the complainant will now say it wasn't true, which could lead her to being charged with perjury, is, as the chap above says, somewhat far fetched.

What a load of rubbish. Many Blades who are supporting Ched are doing so because an innocent man has been convicted for rape. Also, any Blade fan would know that Ched's contract is up at the end of season and the chances were high that we would leave for another team who could support his wages. So saying we are only supporting him because he plays for us is just rubbish.​

Just a personal question. If you can't get any feedback from the jury on why you didn't win a case, how do you go about reviewing your performance? If you had a similar case next time, how would you know what areas you could work on?

The bloke has got such an agenda against SUFC, I cannot believe that there are people on here who think it is a balanced and fair article. How many times has he mentioned SUFC over the last 4 or five years in his national column? This is a bloke who writes for a national newspaper with a large daily circulation, whose sport section is interested only in covering Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs.

90%? I don't think so. I've heard more criticism of Ched on here than anywhere else but even on here in the "Stand by Ched" vote, 66% said they would stand by him, at least until after the appeal.

I still think the verdict was flawed & I've heard or read nothing to convince me Ched was guilty. And I'm still grateful for Ched's contribution this season - we'd be mid-table without him.

I can't believe the majority on here can't see this for what it is, he blames the entire twitter issue on Blades fans and in the last three paragraphs he basically paints us all as rapist sympathisers. He is setting us up, if there is any significant support for Ched this weekend his article will come at us next week with both barrels. He will big himself up stating how he foresaw events and drag the club through the mud. Due to the lazy standards of journalism his view will become the accepted truth and we will again be on the back foot, the social pariahs.
