even I thought hecks appointment at first was the cheap option. But give him his fuel hrs handled it well and I'm impressed with his signings. But more so I'm impressed by his willingness to attack and. risk going forward.

Just watched Hecky's utterly uninspiring post-match interview.
He looks dejected.
A man who knows that performance was unacceptable yet doesn't know how to improve it.
He patently doesn't believe in his own rhetoric about the workrate being good and the ref being responsible for their goal.
He's got a mountain to climb but lacks the proper equipment.
Pompey christened Brewster 'that Poor Kid'.
Hecky was the epitome of 'that Poor Bloke'.
The club is up shit creek without a paddle.
No spending money.
A group of 'old guard' players which we're stuck with in defence & mf.
A few who don't want to be here.
A geriatric hero is the best striker.
No plan or pattern of play.
Just leave Ndiaye to battle alone.
And a growing injury list.

I doubt it as they are never wrong and won’t admit their shite knee jerk,over the top slating. The 1st match,injuries galore,players out of position,rustiness and up against the best front 3 in the division,dear me,proper unsupportive cringeworthy comments. A long way to go and there will be more bumps on the way,if you can’t enjoy the way it’s starting to unfold and some of the players we have,I’d go and watch womens football and sing up to “sweet Caroline “

Where is the "shakes head sadly" emoji when you need one. I'd missed this thread first time around but it is pretty embarasing stuff. Reactionary, and angry I suppose.

It's still very early days and I fear Blackburn won't be threatening the play-offs this year, based on that showing and the likelyhood that Brereton was straight onto his agent last night.

But as Wilder used to say, it's a points accumulation process, and 10 from 5 is the target we are going for.
