I've honestly no idea what the fuck you are talking about which is quite OK with me as a lot of your posts seem to be very negative about United and what was the point of coming on and having a pop at Brewster who was only on the pitch 15 mins. Last night's performance and you come on here and have a pop at Brewster. As another poster implied that is very odd. 'I go quiet...' I didn't know I had to respond to you directly mi lickle sausage. You mean bugger all to me.
Whoosh.. Completely missing the point again but can't be arsed with you anymore. Jog on.

I would be playing Berge in CDM every day of the week at least until Doyle is fit the only player who can control a ball under pressure and can control a game from deep ( The job of a CDM not to tackle and get a red card)

All these people saying he cant tackle are talking utter tosh , doesn't matter if he cant tackle when no-one can get anywhere near him in the is league which he can do anyway

The same people slagging him off are the ones who thought Besic was the greatest footballer in the history of football because he could tackle

Drop Berge back for Jimmy and play khadra further up top

Fleck / Norwood / Berge

Khadra / Coulibaly/ Arblaster

Surely we've got to give it a go as the usual suspects haven't delivered consistently for two and a half seasons now, albeit there have been injuries along the way. We can't keep doing the same things with the same players. As the saying goes "If you do what you have always done, then you will get what you have always got." In our case an inconsistent midfield with 0 threat to opponents who create a gulf between themselves and the strikers and offer them nothing in support or creativity.
Thursday 11th August - League Cup vs. WBA. We will see if you’re right. Weirdly although it’s a dead rubber in some respects, it could be a season-changing game in terms of bringing in other options to the forefront

Berge lacks the desire to be a top player unfortunately, he always takes the easy way out and doesnt bust a gut to get there
Maybe Berge needs better players around him to to perform to the required level. He's not going to do it with the Norwood/Fleck combination.M.G.W papered over the cracks last season.Sooner or later some of the "old guard " have to be replaced.

Besic was not the greatest footballer but he possessed something we didn't/dont have, the ability to get stuck in in the areas we need it,midfield.

Just watched Hecky's utterly uninspiring post-match interview.
He looks dejected.
A man who knows that performance was unacceptable yet doesn't know how to improve it.
He patently doesn't believe in his own rhetoric about the workrate being good and the ref being responsible for their goal.
He's got a mountain to climb but lacks the proper equipment.
Pompey christened Brewster 'that Poor Kid'.
Hecky was the epitome of 'that Poor Bloke'.
The club is up shit creek without a paddle.
No spending money.
A group of 'old guard' players which we're stuck with in defence & mf.
A few who don't want to be here.
A geriatric hero is the best striker.
No plan or pattern of play.
Just leave Ndiaye to battle alone.
And a growing injury list.
Poor bloke.
He may have a long contract but will he be able to deal with what's coming ?

I like my managers to be honest.
Only one outfield player was trying , Ndiaye.
Hecky should have accepted the performance was below standard.
But he'll probably pick the same underperformers again on Saturday.

Fair point

I was more perplexed with the "up shit creek" and "no spending money"

I can't see Hecky being OK with that performance. What they say on camera can be completely different to what is said behind closed doors.

Players let him down, most looked like they couldn't be arsed.

Right,Hecky has got to instil into the "can't be arsed" players that can't be arsed is totally unacceptable,he doesn't strike me as a kind of manager who'll ruffle a few feathers but we'll see.

What utter tosh

A bloke who nearly got us up after a high profile bloke couldn’t get off the starting blocks .

A bloke who is trying to work through a severe injury crisis , as he did last year , a bloke faced with financial limitations to improve the team yet seems to have influenced Man C to loan two of their best prospects who could significantly improve the first team - yet one of them is injured .

A bloke who has introduced youth to the squad and has seen a few of them look as though they could contribute .

A bloke who has lost his first game of the season whilst trying ti cope with said injuries .

He will imo get it right . He did , he has and I believe he will

The grief he is getting is way over the top

Fk me

Your right but I think Hecky and the staff can, if glass-eye Slav was still in charge I'd be worried.

Completely agree. Some fans really need to get a grip on reality, on context, on their childlike emotions...

If we manage to get mctee and everyone fit
Hecky should be looking at
Anel,Egan,Clark
Bogle Berge,Doyle RND
Mctee Ndiaye Khadra

Subs
Brewster Sharp arblaster JLT Osborne Baldock

What if we got a decent midfield player that can score with a free kick!!!
Is that too much???

Its not the results its the performances look at the last 3 months of last season we played well about twice and got bye with MGW & Berge's brilliance

There is only so long you can keep up scraping results

The manager has no clear plan and he has arguably the best attacking choices in the league now and we have no plan whatsoever especially in away games

I just find him uninspiring. His interviews are the same win draw or lose. His interviews are boring same owd same owd.
Those who say it's too early after one game have obviously forgotten Derby, Stoke, Millwall, Huddersfield, Reading, Coventry last season when we played with a similar amount of enthusiasm & passion.

The 2nd half's at QPR & Forest were brilliant but I'm not convinced that was down to the manager who seems incapable of a rousting half time team talk or a plan B.

Did you ever listen to a Slav interview?

Did he have the best attacking choices in the league on Monday?! A teenager was the only fully fit striker.

No clear plan... I can't agree. Not playing well individually makes executing any plan very difficult.

Even if the plan is (in layman's terms) "to keep it tight" - there's not much wrong with that - it's tried and tested away from home, by teams of all calibres.

What was the plan for the last 4 months of last season then ?

No, not a full one. Tbh, I rarely listen to any interviews. Pointless. I didn’t even like Wlder’s much because his weird accent grated. I love the rare occasions when they get a manager to analyse a game (that they’re not involved in), because, if they’re not being guarded, they have real insight but listening to pressers is just tedious.

Trust me, Hecky is Winston Churchill compared to Slav.

Berge didn't look happy from start to finish, no sign of him in any kit release media. I'm one of those who think the guy is an absolute Rolls Royce and would love to see him give us one more season of top effort to get us up... but unfortunately he doesn't wear the red and white stripes of Sheffield united beyond the end of this window for me...
Can’t find pictures but he definitely is in the media pictures
