We move on those not offering anything for a start in addition to the released list, but looking at players talked about-
Forwards
Burke is more interested in swanning about in tasteless chavvy designer gear- Fuck him off for a start
McB- Hard to tell if he suits Hecky, clearly has something as he’s proven at this level before and did ok at times in the prem. cant get rid though as he needs to be fit. He stays
Brewster- huge season coming up for him, don’t see anyone offering close to the money we would want to sell due to fitness and performance early season. He stays
Sharp- New deal so staying.
Ndiye- Hope no offers come in, however there will be interest from the premier league, reckon if someone tempted us with £15-20 m we would sell to make up for the deemed failure of Brewster and inability to move him on.
Midfield
Berge- clearly a quality player, still feel he’s playing within himself and yet to find his actual role. We value him over £20m, don’t see anyone offering that. However may see a loan to buy offer land from a newly promoted side or abroad, and the concern is we will want to lose his salary from the bill and take it!
Fleck/Norwood- easily good enough for this league when fit- get them fucking fit and there is no question we don’t need to spend to replace them!
Defence-
Lowe- was let go by the last manager to a club who got him performing and look good to go up. We have 3 left backs…which is the higher paid? Probably Enda…he’s of that age where his value is gonna drop off a cliff, so sell for whatever we can get. RND and Lowe to be the two in the squad.
Baldock- like Enda, plus we have a younger and very talented player in Bogle. If there is interest, and a fair fee over £2m we should sell. Look to youth as Bogle back up, with Bash and one or two others able to do a job if really needed.
Egan- suspect he will want another go at the prem- regular for Ireland, at the top of his game and not getting younger. If we get a decent offer we should sell and look to rebuild.
This would mean a full rebuild with additions at LCB/CB/ RCB as we are definitely short in those positions.
Harsh as it seems, not sure Davies is the right fit with the issues he’s carrying. Uremevic will be expensive. Avoid those two.
MGW will take some replacing, and he’s not coming back.
So, loan a couple of players with similar reputation to MGW and hope we hit the jackpot again, also have to cover the creativity lost with Didsy!
New central back line made up of free transfers.
No change to midfield unless we sell Berge.
Forward line remains unless Ndiaye bid comes in as above.
Keeper- need something better than Eastwood to push Wes
No sales for Ndiye and Berge….we add a keeper, 3 central defenders, and a couple of big name high potential loans in attacking positions. If McB remains unfit look for a loan to replace him.
Give Loparta, Brunt, Gordon, Seriki, Jebbo, til January to prove their worth to the first team squad and if not up to it get replacements in Jan and send them out on loan.
