Personally I’d still like to see them kicked out of the playoffs but this would at least be a start.

You can’t have a situation where fans are allowed to attack players and playing staff and the clubs who are supposed to be provided a “safe environment” are allowed to carry on without punishment.

Forest fans all over this on Twitter tagging in the EFL and Notts Police.
I live in Nottingham unfortunately and I've seen some this morning trying to claim the thug that did Sharp is really a Derby fan coz he's from Derbyshire. What a load of total rubbish, he'll clearly be a Forest fan

Yeah pics on the alleged Facebook profile of him holding a Forest flag. So unlikely a Derby fan.

And a pic of him laid on a beach with "we 8 Derby" scrawled in the sand in front of him.

The Times (website) led all day with the Billy assualt on their sports page, then updated the story and changed the headline to make it about McBurnie in the early evening.

Unreal that something that didn't happen has pushed something that did happen (and was far more serious) off the news headlines.

Media for you. 🤷‍♂️

We hate ourselves a bit sometimes though, don't we?

Also, never thought a caravanner would go and headbutt someone.

The FA/FL should have a combined specially trained group of stewards that are appointed to work in grounds for the next 5 games following trouble within the ground (IE pitch invasions). Each fan is charged an additional £5 entry to cover costs for the 5 games.

Hopefully it'll deter the arseholes from turning up, and piss off the innocent fans enough that they'll name and shame the culprits who can then be identified and banned.

And many Blades fans want McBurnie sacked.
I think many fans have just spotted a great opportunity to get someone who contributes very little to the club in a positive way and gets paid lots of money the sack!

This wouldn't happen at BDTBL, no previous purchase history = no tickets 😂

I find it pretty telling that there hasn't been more footage turn up yet. How long was it before extra stuff came out with that goading in Knaresborough or wherever it was? Hours?

So of all the pitch invaders, no one else caught the footage of McBurnie stamping on someone, say from a different angle or with more of what led up to or followed it? The law abiding Forest fan who filmed this and ran onto the the pitch with his phone in his hand chose to film just 8 seconds of his escapades and nothing more? That's the full, unedited footage is it?

Sure, more very well might come out which is more damning but it looks like bollocks so far.

When I first saw it, I thought it looked bad but massively inconclusive. Watched it slowed down since and it looks a lot more like Mcburnie is struggling to stay on his feet more than anything after it appeared as if Brewster pulled someone down. All this is just the pathetic bleatings of Forest fans who are collectively shitting the bed because everyone isn't patting them on the head and saying how brilliant, triumphant and massive they are anymore. They've got no one to blame for this derailment but themselves. Though apparently its all really heckingbottom's fault.

I remember United fans attacking Walsall players when we got relegated to the fourth

A Walsall player surrounded by fans decided he'd kick and punch his way out of it

He did a good job of it as well,

The worrying thing being that this is what happened when they won. Imagine the potential trouble if they had lost?

Don’t police have vest cameras nowadays? There will also be cctv from the ground trained on the bench area.

The safety of players is down to the owners of the venue, that is Nottingham Forest FC if they can't steward adequately they can arrange for Police back up but they have to pay. I remember years ago South Yorkshire Police wanted both Sheffield clubs to pay for Policing inside the grounds and on the streets of surrounding areas which to me was a ridiculous situation pubs & clubs in city centre don't pay for Policing the streets Friday & Saturday nights. I can see why clubs don't have Police inside grounds but NMW 18yr old students many of them girls are not up to controlling large crowds. Things have got to change, we have to have Police back inside stadiums before things kick off, half a dozen coppers with dogs would have had that pitch cleared in seconds. As things are at the moment games are stewarded by kids and Police tend not to be involved until they study the HDCCTV after the event.

Police will not want to do that. Aside from all the staffing issues they'll claim, they'll be really worried about the hyper-scrutiny that flares up whenever the police engage in a bit of crowd control at present. There'd be outrages and scandals every week and even if 99.9% were nonsense, they'd still not want all the negative press.

I don’t think I have ever hated a group of fans as much as I hate Forest’s* after these last few days. Putting aside their massive arrogance and entitlement, the fact that one of them assaults our captain, then they try and blame our manager and Robinson for their “inflammatory” comments before the match, they then try and stitch up another player who seems to be defending his teammate/himself from an angry mob.
Wednesday’s Josh Windass has been good on Twitter, first of all condemning the headbutt and then defending McB. Players shouldn’t have to face that. Bad enough the abuse we give them from the stands. Forest as a club should be protecting visiting players.

If that kid did get a bit of a kicking (which is very unclear) he deserved it as far as I am
concerned. If a gang of beaked-up arseholes came in my back garden and started doing that to me, I would happily chin one and give him a few kicks while he was down, and I doubt if the courts wouldnt accept I was defending myself out of fear for my life. They picked on the wrong bloke there, and got what they were asking for.

And by the way I would say this about United fans too, and will say it about the inevitable idiot who runs on the pitch and decks a Forest player next time we play them.

*obviously excluding the ones involved in donating to the charity and the ones coming out condemning it. Of course you can’t group an entire fan base, but in general, a despicable lot.

NOT ENOUGH CONTEXT.
Here's a little bit of context. Thousands of their idiot fans have run onto the pitch to celebrate. Footage emerged of one cunt smashing his head into Billy Sharp's face. Forest protested..."he's not a real fan!", "it's just one fan out of thousands!"...no it's clearly not you fucking forest wankers...Jack Robinson had to be given a police escort off the ptich and now this little clip emerges clearly showing that there were many, many more than "just one fan" harrassing and attacking our players. Fuck the lot of them. If McBurnie has stamped on someone, it's out of order and he should be punished accordingly, but it's hardly unprovoked when you consider the shitstorm that was going on around the players.

Ask anybody who has had a broken foot whether they’d be able to, or risk stamping on someone with either foot.

All this is deflection from the Forest side, at the end of the day thousands of their fans were on the pitch and trouble occurred in several areas with our players. We were supposed to be there, they weren’t.

Forest are the guilty ones and it’s Forest who should be punished.

Any Blades player in that environment would be extremely worried. If the McBurinie incident was after Sharp was attacked no wonder the players were out to defend themselves and their team mates as best they could. The video is inconclusive and there is no way he can be charged with anything from that footage. I see no one else has come forward with any further footage yet which says a lot. The consequences for any Forest fan involved in that will be a long ban too. What was up with them, they had won the match. Sharp's statement on the event is classy considereing what had happened and just what we'd expect from him.

Just wondering what might have happened in the first leg if their fans hadn't been put on the BLUT/Westfield, and presumably that's why they were?
Terrible decision by the club, sag and the police. I'm forwarding an email slating everyone involved even though I've ended up with egg on my face.

Could end in a bloody riot if that happens.

Let's hope we've still got McB then. Put some lead in the bottom of his support boot.

The sheer fucking arrogance of a Forest fan making any argument based on him being a professional role model. Just think about what you're saying.

"Thing is your honor, I went to watch a nice game of football, somewhere I thought I was safe! And before I knew it I was on the pitch attacking the United players and this... this monster
hits me back! I'm sorry can I have a moment please"

In what bloody world is it okay to attack someone because they're famous just because you don't like them. Let's be honest this is happening alot more now (Chris Rock, Chapelle are the two recents)

It makes no odds to me, if he releases a statement and says "yeah I fuckin booted him for no reason and I'd do it again" then fine, he gets what he deserves. The likely realities unfortunately are EITHER he was protecting his team mates from being further injured or he did nothing at all since he's bloody injured.

I too have noticed how Nottingham Forest, the club, dont seem to get mentioned about their match day procedures are being investigated or they are being fined etc. Just hope Huddersfield win.
