What was it about?

His team selection on the day when we’d lost at home to , I think Chesterfield , and the fact that he kept calling us ‘my club’.

I told him it wasn’t his fucking club but that of me and thousands like me who had been following the Blades for many , many years before he came and would be doing so long after he’d gone - along with another few choice home truths .

What is very interesting about the Cec Coldwell photo is the background which is of course the Kop, BUT it shows the railings which enclosed the undercover area of the Kop. You paid to get into the Ground and then there was another charge ( was it a shilling ? ) to go through that white box turnstile and get undercover. I presume there was a similar arrangement at the top of the Kop for entry that way.
Great Pics. A favourite of mine was Colin Collindridge. I once saw him score a goal at the Lane that if we had had MOTD cameras there then would have been shown as the intro. for the next 10 years and sod Best's effort against us. I think its described in Clarebrough's book as " A Wonder Goal "
I wouldn't have got Colin Rawson from that photo either.

Was there not quite a long queue if everyone going on to the kop from that side had to go through that 1 turnstile?

There didn't seem to be. Maybe alot of people went in the top way from S'ham St or maybe the Yorkshire frugality kicked in and people stayed outside that enclosure.

You might find you will speed up. Some of us have probably posted the same photo more than once… Not that we can remember doing it, mind🤣
