Sorry to burst the bubble guys but Beattie will never drop down to League One. He has a very high opinion of himself and too big an ego. There would also be a lot of clubs in the championship who would be willing to take him on.

- His children prefer Sheffield United out of all Beatties former clubs.

His eldest son James is 4 years old, he was 2 when Beattie left SUFC. His other son George is 1. James was not old enough to remember Beattie playing for SUFC or old enough to care and George probably doesnt even know what football is yet.

- James is willing to take a paycut, although not by too much to spend the rest of his career at Sheffield United & hopefully take up a coaching roll at Bramall Lane.

Unlikely considering his wife hates living away from her family in Southampton but understands her husbands job currently involves living away. They go back to Southampton as much as time allows them.

- Beattie STILL keeps in contact with Billy Sharp who he got on with well from his time at the Lane.

This is true, they went to Las Vegas together this summer.

Iv never claimed to be ITK on this forum or any other forum............. until now.

I don't know my brothers mates aunties brothers wifes best mates cousin or anyone like that, but i do know that James Beattie WILL be a Sheffield United player by the end of July, whether it will be a permanent or a loan i couldn't say, but i know 99% that he will join us, unless theres a dramatic twist......

what like trying to get back into premier league ? then selling beattie who,s goals would have got us there,then replacing him with a donkey mmm really ambitious,we hear the same spin every new season promotion promotion promotion ! its starting to wear thin now. i also notice in your reply my friend that you state "appear to be trying to win promotion" and "get to the final of JPT" do i detect your thoughts are like mine, that we will be let down once again i.e. 3 play off finals and not seen a united goal scored !

Who knows what actually goes on behind those closed doors? Suspect the truth is somewhere in between with variaitons either way depending on the story.

Disappointment is all part of being a football fan of all but the top two or three teams (and even they are disappointed if they don't win everything). Sooner you learn to expect nothing then your hopes will always be exceeded... but sometimes matched... in fact mostly matched.

The reason he hasnt signed for anybody is that he is not fully fit, he has said he wont sign unless he can do himself justice it is his decision not to sign unless he is fit, and United know the score on the fitness issue
