The League Cup has been shite for years (probably since the year before the pigs won it!). It should be scrapped. Even the FA Cup has lost much of its appeal - although I would keep that.

Have been saying for years that they should limit the League Cup to teams in the Championship and below, and bin off the Auto Windscreens Shield. Every team would then have some incentive to take it more seriously. Only problem is 72 is an awkward number, so you might need to invite the top eight from the Conference and have them & League Two as round one
