If he'd literally shrunk a little more last night we'd have won
Reality is if he had stepped back the ball could have been taken on the chest (no one near him) and cleared or could have been headed clear.
Suppose in recent footballing parlance it's "small margins".
In my view it's, lack of awareness as to what's around you and lack of ability to judge the flight of the ball.
Panic.😬

If he'd just popped out of existence for a second we'd have been fine as well

A very diplomatic response from SJ but unfortunately I think we're stuck with him again at the weekend. Just how many more errors can the guy keep making but keep getting picked? We can all see it, how can SJ and his staff not? He's nothing more than a bog standard, kick the way he's facing, League 1 left back because that's where he'll be when his contract is up.

Some people leave a steaming turd in the bog on their last day at work, Chris Wilder left us with Jack Robinson. The fact that he chased him before he went to Forest is even more flabbergasting.

This week he had looked a lot better, playing there. But has a habit of sudden catastrophic fuck ups.

Robinson has a vote of confidence from SJ 😮 ,he just needs to do better,the own goal at WBA,the slip against P/boro,the flickon against Preston,how do you continue with a player that gifts goals and chances to the opposition is beyond belief,the opposition know C3PO is shit and will get targeted every game he plays,we need to score at least 2 goals every game that C3PO plays to have any chance of winning.

Just seen Robinsons attempt at a ball into the box on Tuesday, the one that didn’t get off the ground, screwed to the right and just went straight to prestons players in the middle of the park.

It was on his left foot and honestly looked like someone who couldn’t kick a football, even worse than Brewsters against Luton imo.

Again, we were challenging for Europe when we signed this guy. Christ almighty

Diplomatic but he's not the manager I thought he was if he picks him again at centre back even if Davies is not fit.

Its not a natural position because JR started life as a full back and thats where he played the majority of his football. Its not a natural position if you are weak in the air. Its not a natural position if you fail to track runners behind you. Its not a natural position if you're passing out of defence is suspect.

Its obvious its not a natural position because of the number of mistakes he is making.

You can't argue that a position is natural for someone just because they've got a left foot.

JR's natural position is left back. He lacks the physicality to play centre back in the modern game. Play JR at LB and it minimises the risk of errors. Going forward he has a good cross on him but to suggest he's a centre back based on the all the evidence to date is bordering on delusion.

I just sat back down laughing when I seen him do that fuckin embarrassing he is.

Can you give us any evidence of this good crossing? 1 no look hopeful ball into the box against Everton doesn't count 👍

This is what we had at CH for a few years - probably part of the reason we were pretty decent in defence.

JOC = 6' 3"
Egan = 6' 1"
Bash = 6' 3"

This is what we have now

Egan = 6' 1"
Robinson = 5' 11"

We've missed JOC tremendously, and we have to miss Bash too at 6'3" seeing as he is the one dropping down the the bench.

But, a CH at 5' 11" is just telling the opposition to ping balls that side.

Ben Davies isn't that much bigger btw - just over 6'

I would say it's more his capacity to make mistakes than his height. Berge is 6' 5" and doesn't head the ball. Cannavaro or Les Ferdindand were smaller than Robinson and their ability in the air wasnt questioned.

I definitely think though that centre backs need a physical presence. Some of that is about toughness and ability to tackle. Some is about determination and ability to read the play.
Robinson lacks in quite a few of those areas.

Indeed he lacks in a few areas - skinned by the lump of a Preston centre forward out on the JS side, got into the box and fortunately the numpty pulled his shot well wide.

Needs replacing by someone who was brought up through football as a CH and not trying to shoehorn a LB into a CH position. The mistime of the header at WBA and the same issue v Preston speaks volumes.

How long are Davies and Enda likely to be out for?
Enda trained for the first time this week but will need to build his fitness,
Davies is "close" but it didn't sound like he'd be ready for this weekend.

The only way we can realistically get rid of dross like Robinson. Is if Chris Wilder gets a job at a club, who aren’t flushed with lot’s of money.

How long has he got remaining on his contract. I'm hoping he's ooc next June. If he's not CWAK need shooting!
