Bound to score next month when they play us then.

Odds on Adams when we play Southhampton, Tyler when we play Hull, starting to stack up, Burke when we play Notts Forest, er maybe not it is Burke.

(disclaimer : last comment about transfer totally made up)

Hi Stegosaurus

Bonehead decision. We have a bunch of strikers firing blanks and sell a promising young lad without giving him a chance.

While keeping McBurnie. And Mousset. And Burke.

He's bound to be more use for us than Mousset.

Hoped we'd hold on to him, as I think he looked promising, but I suppose he's had a few loans already.. so maybe it's better for him to move on. GLTTL.

Your lack of basic football understanding is crackers

I’m more use than Mousset

I followed his progress with his loans didn’t score many but put a shift in.
Worked well in a front two

Yeah, I remember seeing him for Barrow a couple of times in a 2,and he looked decent at that level. Norrington Davies was there at the same time.

I was always impressed by his speed of movement over short distances - a bit like Billy or KE. But when he was on loan the players around him rarely gave him the ball at the right times. Barrow and Swindon were struggling. I think he’ll be very good in a good team. It’s a pity he’s not getting a chance at BDTBL. 😟

"remember" FFS. That's not happening any time soon. Looking it up.....

2017/18 U23 22 goals from 35 starts & 1 sub

The Carrier Bag Firm tell me that the goals Ty scored v Watford U23 earlier in the season moved him ahead of Jordan Hallam as our all time top U23 PDL Scorer.
Phil - would you think his sale has reminders of Sharp’s sale?

Can't say I remember the circumstances surrounding Sharp's sale & my feelings. Sorry.

What I will say is .... I didn't like Tyler when I first saw him. I couldn't see it. But he worked very hard. Developed a specific way of playing. Strong. Low centre of gravity. Shook players off. Calm in front of goal. And, those numbers are impressive. Won me around. But, he's done all the loans. Can't even see our first team through all the strikers apparently ahead of him. Where can either party go? He's had chances. But he's not stood out head & shoulders. I think it's best if he leaves to see if he can make a go of it. I'm certainly NOT thinking it's a bad thing, or a ridiculous thing, or mad or owt like that.

No he was given to Hull, but there are reasons apparently

Signed on a free

Similar deal as the one that took whiteman to donny and the one the Man City are looking to do for Roberts. Means you still retain an interest in a player you were otherwise convinced would leave on a bosman. Doing it this way still allows clauses such as sell ons and buy backs to be inserted.

You can add Kean Bryan to that list too. No up front fee when we signed him from City but plenty of insurance clauses (sell on, buy back etc) for them if he came good.

I see Grant McCann in the Hull Daily Mail piece says what ‘he likes about Smith is his energy and his willingness to try and get in behind teams.’

Now what is it we’re looking for in a forward at the moment? I know - a player with energy and the willingness to try and get in behind teams…Doh!

I have to admit in what a was a very insubstantial comparison during the Carlisle game, Smith at the very least seemed a more mature player than Brewster. Had that awareness and positional knowledge that allowed him to impose himself on the game more effectively. GLTTL

I agree with what you say I was a big fan when he was with the Academy although we let him go as a youngster and then brought him back. Could be the same again?

Shocking piece of business he looked busy as fuck against Carlisle.
Got 20 odd goals in less than 100 games on loan .....
1 in 4
Mcburnie 1 in about 30
Moose same
Brewster none in about 30
Had to be worth a chance ...
I hope he does well at Hull, I will be watching on with interest.
Good luck Tyler

Got to be sarcasm given 10 of his 20 were at Barrow in the national league
At league 1 level it's 2 in 14, 3 in 20, 1 in 4 and 7 in 23.
He wouldn't have even been close to the bench all year never mind a contributor
