Happy with that, admit 1/9 was some what tongue in cheek a figure stuck in my mind from those far off days.
Queens, a very nice drink, well worth the extra 1d, believe same applied with J Smiths Best and Magnet and the 1d would get you from't Lane down to Norfolk Market Hall. We allu's walked though.
Pedantic, being am I, 1/0d = 1/- 😔, it,s mi marking up in't markets coming out.
Certainly were. :)

Hereford wearing Blades white shorts in that match. Usually played in black shorts but clashed with ours and they hadn't bought a change strip sk had to borrow the white shorts off United.

Very early 70’s. Deffo near Wicker Arches,( cannot remember the cinema name) showing mucky films in the afternoon , went with four mates after a few drinks and it really was like you would see on Benny Hill. There was about a dozen men in and honestly they all had raincoats on( warm day as well), a couple of mixed couples doing a lot of shuffling about. Didn’t stay too long it was a bit uncomfortable to be honest, had a good laugh though.
Not sure could have been No7 ? . Or was it 69.

Great photo this. Park Square roundabout in all its glory pre supertram flyover. I was in town as a 16 year old when it burned down. 1984 i think.Bit surreal. I'll post one that's probably a bit later than yours. Remember these litter bins?View attachment 118037
The Indus underneath.
Many a dunken meal in there.

Never had the pleasure. I'd only recently been introduced to indian food as a 15 year old. Shapla moorfoot. Clearly remember the multicoloured pilau rice. Not sure it's served anywhere anymore. Sure somebody will put me right.
