He talked a lot about the need to take time over decisions like this. What happened with Blackwell then?
Surely it's OUR club? ;-)
What you say is actually right and it is therefore his perogative to decide just how much or how little funding he wants to provide and his decision isn't really any of our business
Came accross as being totally fed up with the know nowt arseholes that constantly question his commitment to the club and snipe at him and his family from a safe hiding place.
Don't blame him one bit for it.
Anyone think that the reason he may be sleeping on it is because he's seeing who will be available and who would come to us before making a decision. He'd look pretty daft sacking MA with no one else to bring in.
That would always be the wise view before making a decision to sack a manager, as well as presumably working out what it'll cost
I think that may be why. When he sacked Blackie is seemed rash and quick (even though he should have gone earlier). He may have Trev ringing up a few clubs to see what is possible before he makes his move. This would all make sense if he is determined to get it right next season. As you say, it would be the wise and sensible move.
"I've not had chance to speak to Micky one-to-one for many weeks because I don't live in the UK"
What was very strange, and something Paul Walker tried to follow up on was that he said he'd spoken to him today, and it's the first chance he'd had to speak to him face to face for ages. If I had to jump one way or the other, he didn't sound like he was about to sack him.
As per McCabe, "I don't live in this country, I haven't had chance to sit down with Micky for months, many months...."
Erm excuse me but surely if McCabe is in charge, they should at least have been holding monthly review meetings to discuss how things are going and what improvements if any can be made. Not sure if these were held at all, or still went ahead without him being present. But the man at the helm who is in charge should have been there, at least on some occassions.
Instead of pointing fingers at managers its about time he looks at himself...
And I would imagine a big part of the discussion with Adams would've also been these questions:
a) What went wrong (in Micky's opinion)?
b) What can he do to put it right?
c) Who we keeping/ offering to get rid of?
d) Who do we need to bring in?
e) How much is it all going to cost?
To be fair, he said sit down and talk to him face to face, the interviewer didn't actually ask him if he'd spoken to Adams in the last few weeks.
In addition McCabe put his faith in Micky, Birch and Steer to do the day to day running of the club.
The football club manager is employed because of his CV and qualifications etc
What do you expect McCabe to do fly in and say " Oi knobhead, what you doing! You should be playing that Ched Evans because he cost me a bloody fortune"
unless there really is a relegation clause in his contract
you know, people that hide behind anonymous internet aliases, make assumptions about everything before regurgitating it as FACT, have absolutely entrenched opinions and come accross as right twats. You must have seen a few of em on here
Would they be the same people who've been flagging up our failings over the last few years and been shouted down by the cleverer people who are 100% behind Mr McCabe who is the best thing that has ever happened to the club?
Being smart isn't attractive when you've been proven right, when you've been proven wrong it's pitiful.
The FH interview makes me want to puke blood. I never trusted McCabe and I was right. Horrible, spineless little man. I wish he'd piss off for good. Its about 20 minutes in if you're going to go and listen....
What happens when he pisses off?
What happens when he pisses off?
people need to remember where we were before he took over, raul. europe in five years
