Don't know if this already been posted, but just seen mcabe giving an interview in sky sports news. Says he's talked to Adams, but needs time to think if hell still be manager next season.

Didn't seem too sure about having Adams as manager next season...

Begs the question - why bother having the meeting if he didn't know what he needed convincing about?

Not that I've seen the interview, but from a PRs viewpoint if all he's done is said "I've had the meeting and I'm going to sleep on it" it's a doozy - either have the meeting and act immediately (appearing decisive) or claim that some new issues were surfaced that are deserving of consideration (appearing fair and open-minded - and then either sack him anyway or reveal the new vision as the reason Adams is still the right man for the job).

It's also pretty shit for MA - he's been through all of the crap, built himself up for the meeting and is still in limbo. He's (rightly in my opinion) not walking away - he should be either put out of his misery or go on his holidays ready to come back and make amends for this season fully refreshed and with something approaching a plan.

Just seems typical of the McCabe of now compared to the McCabe of 5 years ago.

There's talk elsewhere that he (McCabe) wants to canvass opinion around the club before making a decision, you know, see what the tea ladies and ground staff think etc.

Why is the Chairman not making these announcements ? .......................... who is this McCabe guy ?

He talked a lot about the need to take time over decisions like this. What happened with Blackwell then?

Jwants to canvass opinion around the club before making a decision

McCabe, his son, Steer, Birchy and now Alice the Tea Lady, as if she aint got enough on her plate making the Hob Nobs go around.

Mind you looking at McCabe he wouldn`t even open the packet, until he has slept on it, which is not good news for any biscuits in my experience ...

He probably thought about sacking Blackwell all Summer just didn't get round to it until he got to the Lane that Satdi afternoon in August.

Canvassing opinion around another manager he wants at the price he wants to pay ,if not ,its Adams job.

Could be, a bit disingenuous of McCabe.

Gonna go check if that is spelt right now .....

It's all a bit deja vu isn't it.

Regardless of the football reasons, you can't help but feel for Adams in all this.

Apparently anyone questioning McCabe is 'off their trolley' !

Just been about a 10 minute interview on FH, reckons relegation will cost us £12M amonst other things.

Did he accidentally speak of Adams' tenure in the past tense?

What was very strange, and something Paul Walker tried to follow up on was that he said he'd spoken to him today, and it's the first chance he'd had to speak to him face to face for ages. If I had to jump one way or the other, he didn't sound like he was about to sack him.

Just been on Look Leeds. Interviewer (rightly) said fans were asking where the money had gone. McCabe snapped "what, my money?". The interviewer said no - the money from player sales & Tevez. McCabe mumbled something about fans not understanding. Came across as a right tw#t.

Did it sound like McCabe knew who Micky Adams was ?

To play devils advocate on this. He always claims to be a fan, so perhaps he doesn't understand where its gone and therefore assumes that other fans don't understand either.

Came accross as being totally fed up with the know nowt arseholes that constantly question his commitment to the club and snipe at him and his family from a safe hiding place.

Don't blame him one bit for it.

No he didn't. He came across as somebody with real feeling for the club and very disappointed with what has happened. His family has supported club income by subsidising wages over the last five years and has underpinned club income and his final words were (paraphrased) "No likelihood of admin and if there's got to be more cash put in to stabilise the club then it will be put in" - said he can't say he's pleased but it's reality.

Know nowt arseholes? Pathetic. Safe hiding place - what u on about? I'd happily tell him to his face given the chance. He lost interest years ago - which is the biggest single factor in us being where we are.

Yep BOSS, that's just what I heard too. I thought it was pretty encouraging in the circumstances.

you know, people that hide behind anonymous internet aliases, make assumptions about everything before regurgitating it as FACT, have absolutely entrenched opinions and come accross as right twats. You must have seen a few of em on here
