Who knows too many fingers in to many pies?
Apart from the fact he can’t get the clubs money out without either selling up or setting up a loan to himself your logic is totally sound.
Without that fact though it’s utter bollocks.

70 million is an AVERAGE of 54 grand (ish) a week across 25 players and some won’t be on more than a few grand, Rodwell Robinson etc and even mcburnie has been quoted at being on 20 as a 17 million pound striker, that figure is WAY too high.
McBurnie’s £20k was after tax.

Yeah seem to remember it dragging on for ages and he ended up gambling on Hoskins fitness wise.

We had Billy Clarke and Matt Phillips in earlier in the season, either of them would have fit the bill nicely. Think Clarke had signed for Crawley though as they were offering him more.

Didn't Wednesday have Antonio on loan?

McBurnie was on £30k but the overall figure includes all staff, including the manager

Do you reckon they have to go through the STAR technique? Tell us about a time you’ve worked with a limited budget?
"Slavisa, could you tell us of your experience of applying the Porterfield manoeuvre and rescuing a club from League 2 with no financial backing whatsoever?!?"

Pretty harsh on Wilson.

Ched got banged up
Hoskins injured
Cresswell was injured
Beattie was never fit and got sent off before the play-offs
so we had a half fit Chris Porter as our striking options.
And O'hallorahan

Pretty sure at one stage all our defence was injured or suspended
I think it was more a case of:

Plan A: Pass it to Ched. Goal!
Plan B: Pass it to Ched. Prison. Oh, no Plan B!
Plan C: Let Simo' take a penalty 🤣

I once interviewed a lad in his early 20s for a job paying £12,000 a year.

I asked him if he had any thoughts or ambitions about the direction he wanted to go in within our industry (he had applied on the basis of the Uni course he'd done).

He said his only ambition was to be a millionaire in 5 years 😆

I once interviewed somebody for a job in the new telemarketing team I was building.

He came in dead cocky, and not suitably-attired and his opening gambit was "When do I start?"

I immediately asked him where he saw himself in 5 years and he said "In your seat."

I got out of my seat, went and sat elsewhere and said, "Go on then, sit in it."

He did so I asked him, "Now what are you going to do?"

He apologetically went back to his previous seat.

I didn't employ him.

If we're looking back on that season/s under Wilson, if there's someone to blame then it's McCabe in my view. We were second that second season, then we sold Blackman who'd only had 5 months with us and was essential. What a signing that was by Wilson also, he also signed Jamie Murphy for very little too and Shaun Wilson on a free. McCabe then sacked Wilson and gave it to Morgan who'd never managed when we were 5th I recall. Wilson deserved another season in my view, a better manager than Clough and certainly Weir.

Several players are on record from his time with us that said Wilson was very good on the training field also. The football we played in the Ched season; that was some of the best I'd seen to date. I actually wanted Mark Robins at the time when we got Wilson because I knew, like everyone else, that Wilson would get a bad reception. I was on Blades Mad at the time and one of my first posts was to defend Wilson. I got pelters from everyone bar one or two, the only I remember who was receptive was Telford Blade. I had a wry smile when we all signing the Danny Wilson walking in a Wilson wonderland song!
He really did drop bollock after bollock. Whatever the Prince turns out to be I’m reyt glad we’ve seen the back of McCabe.

He got in your seat 5 years too early. You should have given him a shot.

McDonald was brilliant "class in a glass" I was reading other week he is ill needs kidney transplant I think it is, I said I think.
Yes, he was interviewed on five live, came across really well. He said that he has one kidney working at 10% and awaiting a transplant with his brother donating I think.

Nixon reckons we could consider looking at other managers as Jokanovic is expensive
He’s answered that he’s meaning wages too, which we knew, so there’s transfers on top so if we get him it’s a big deal. (Again, which we knew).

Ah you must be new. You’ll have to forgive General Pantwetter, he can’t help it.

It’s hardly pissing my kegs, gi or now. ;)

I’m just hopeful of some moderate investment in a managerial appointment and we play the strong hand we’ve been dealt in terms of the parachute payments. I know this is tantamount to calling for revolution for some, but given we’re (pound for pound) one of the least successful clubs in the country, it would be nice to approach matters with little more gusto than usual.

If I hadn’t seen such riches I could live with being poor and all that...
