McBurnie Video

I agree the lad deserved a good hiding for gobbing off. But the point is that Oli McBurnie will get paid more in just one week than his moronic abuser will earn in a whole year. McBurnie is a famous footballer and will retire a multi millionaire, he will have experiences the gobshite could only dream of.

So as a consequence of that, he can’t go about chinning people without repercussions, because he is instantly recognisable. What’s more if he can’t control himself and learn to just smile at peoples inadequacy or develop a repertoire of verbal put downs, he will find himself a target for every fucking idiot in town.

On the other hand if he wants to get involved in Saturday night scuffles with anonymity, then he needs to bin the football, go and work at Tescos and get stuck in.

Thing is though, if that was say Brewster and not OM'B it would be very doubtful those pricks would have said anything and almost definite that if they had they wouldn't have got the same reaction.........Oli, touts himself as a "lad" wears his Stoney to make wanker signs at Cardiff fans, posts pictures on Insta drinking in his Gucci, drove a flash motor before his driving ban etc......not saying that makes it OK to dig him out but it does make him a target for twats like these......
I agree Torrix, this is where I'd like someone at the club to have a word, if they haven't already. He attracts attention to himself dong that and it's not for the right reasons. But he's young and probably gets carried away with the moment, like with Swansea.

In the incident he loses his rag, undestandably having seen the second video. I would hate to be filmed by lads just winding me up calling me all sorts and then wanting a reaction. They got one and they could end up with a charge also for this.

Okay.....I’m 25 and would consider myself young and still somewhat cool.....but what the fuck do half of those replies even mean.

What the fuck is ratiod?
Ratio'd means more people commented on than liked your post - basically a way of saying it was a shit post that no one agreed with.

Yep thats right just cos i think McBurnie is shit automatically makes me a pig. Hes one of the worst strikers i've seen at Bramall Lane and i've seen the likes of Laurens Ten Heuvel, Andy Campbell, Michael Higdon i could go on

Not only is he a rubbish footballer, hes a criminal and seems to have a shocking attitude, we need to get rid and quick.
MK4, did any of the players you've mentoned there get 6 goals in the PL in one season or plus 20 in the Championship in one season and 1/2 for Barnsley on loan in the Championship? He's way better than them, and if he's top scorer next season it wouldn't be unexpected based on his previous time in the Championship.

No they didnt, im sorry i disagree with the majority I just think hes garbage.

Mcburnie did the right thing. If he just 'walks away' as some on here want, as soon as that video is uploaded on Facebook/Twitter and the like, every prick around the area would be having a pop when he's out. They now know he doesn't take any shit (and nor should he). The bloke was out with his girlfriend, he shouldn't have to put up with that bollox.

now everybody in town knows all they have to do is have a pop and they will get a reaction and be Twitter famous for a few hours.

he walks off and ignores it no ones going to do it because they aren’t going to get a anything from him.

walk off and have a laugh that you’ve got more money than that fucking idiot will ever see in his life. Think about how you’ve actived a dream and played in the Pl and helped your country qualify for an international tournament and then go back to your massive house in your expensive car and smile to yourself that that other guys got nowt better to do that hurl abuse at a innocent man on the street.

He's our striker, he's our number nine,
Likes a glass or two of port or wine,
Stands to pick up a big club fine,
And may even end up doing time
It’s probably been said on here already, but people nowadays (and I’m now on the cusp of being old enough to say that, at 35) are all too comfortable abusing people from afar, safe in the knowledge that they won’t get a smack for it. The internet, as well as cosseted upbringings, has insulated people from real life. Troll people and get away with it, even down to there not being allowed to be losers at sports days anymore. People need to realise that their inputs have results.

The current generation have been brought up with no consequences and no repercussions. I don’t blame McBurnie one bit. I’m actually quite impressed he had the balls to go up to a gang of three pricks who’d been giving him shit and stand up for himself.
Definitely don't agree with all of this, but the bit about the current generation and no consequences is absolutely bang on correct and couldnt't agree more.

I'll give him my support, I don't care if I'm the only one. Some may not agree with this but here goes. He's under scrutiny more than most of us can never imagine. We have no idea what happened before the incident and he's likely to have been goaded and then they're filming him, which I can imagine would further add to McBurnie's anger. Apparently he was goaded over our relegation, probably by Leeds fans if it's Knaresborough. At least he chuffing cares in that respect. People would be far more gracious if he'd scored 10 goals this season, he hasn't but that's not the main issue here granted. As I said before, he needs a mentor (Billy Sharp stands out obviously) and someone to guide him through this. I'm sure there's stuff like that going on, but he may need more than someone like McGoldrick. We also have no idea of his background, his parenting as a child, his private life, and his mental health. Some may be shaking their head at that, but not all are privileged to have all of that being good and then thrust into the public eye in a performance based industry. The stick he gets from Scotland fans on Twitter for example is largely so over the top.

People on here very quick to call him various names and we're all anonymous. Well I'll tell you now my name's Robin Codina (without trying to sound like Michael Caine!), find me on Facebook if you want, I'm on Wilder's Army too. I don't know Oli, but I do know that being a footballer has pressures I can't imagine and I can go out whenever I want and get no stick for it. I think as fans of United I want to give him grace, forgiveness and leave it to the club to do the talking to him.

I'll add I don't condone his actions if it's true, that is obviously important. There's standards to represent and without meaning to sound hypocritical, he does need to know that, he's not alone there though either.
Well said mate.

We don't know the context, and we have take the incident in isolation. Previous behaviour and certainly form on the pitch the season haven't much to do with it.

We need the facts, before we judge.

Agree, he could have embarassed the other lot by saying "yes I'm shit mate but earn more in a year than you'll earn in your lifetime" . Normally that would be the comment for a cunt, but would have been a justified putdown in this situation, and better than wading in.

...and whilst I don't condone his behaviour, we need to know the antecedents. I don't care who you are, or what you do, or how much you're paid. We're all human and all react out of emotion at times.

I think people defending Oli need a wake-up call.

1) If the plod were driving down the street and saw that do you really think they would have just been like "Ah that bloke was taunting him so got what he deserved, keep driving" of course not they would have arrested Oli then and there for common assault.

2) Every club in the premier league each year before the season starts go through seminars on being in the public spotlight and things may encounter and how to deal with them and how they represent the club on and off the field. Oli is taken through those seminars by Sheffield United who pay him as an employee. He's basically given Sheffield United as a club the one finger salute.

Absolutely agree, i reckon McBurnie attacked him cos the truth hurts. Lets face it he is a shit c**t, 7 goals in 65 games or whatever it is. The only bit i disagreed with was the 'victim' saying the championship would suit him. Oli Mc might score a goal a game in league 2 but not above that.

I also bet Mcburnie is keeping his lawyer in a job! I hope he/she doesnt have to defend anyone else, there wouldnt be enough time.
Hi Stegosaurus Here, glad to see another Wednesdayite has joined me on the forum!

Football is a competitive physical contact sport. Top class players are testosterone-filled animals. If you don’t want them to be, then go and watch ice skating. We live in a highly competitive world - nice guys don’t win - there are no nice guys at the top in industry or politics as well as sport.

McB is a physical killing machine. He showed enormous restraint - possibly because his girl was there. He has the power and the background to have done real damage to that guy, and barely touched him.

As for slagging him off as a player - nobody put in more effort while on the pitch than he did. If you want to have a go at players, have a look at our midfield pointers, who point back at the space that they should have been in themselves.

I don’t condone violence - but I do condone competitiveness - which can easily provoke some level of verbal and physical violence.

This incident was a complete non-event - another waste of time and money created by the phones-everywhere society.
McB is a physical killing machine, not sure I'd go that far myself.

That was an obscene verbal attack and verbal abuse on Oli and should be no defence on the thugs who attacked him. The police should clamp down on this type of behaviour and make an example of them. We would all be up in arms if this was a verbal racist attack, but this is no different.
I'm a very calm type of guy who has only ever been in one fight in my whole life and that was in my school days a trillion years ago, but if I had to endure such abuse, I would do exactly the same, as I'm sure we all would.
Just hope the club and the police can see it as it is.
Let's just hope Oli can come back next season and do his talking on the pitch and shove these vile comments from thugs like these down their throats.

OHHH ROBIN CODINA
OHHH ROBIN CODINA
OHHH ROBIN CODINA

He was apparently beating up school children yesterday so a bit of over exaggeration isn’t new.
Prem ace, a natural born killing machine, delivered several kidney punches, to disabled school children on the way home.

Is that about right 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bet some Championship centre backs are already getting their repertoire ready for next season. Just keep winding him up until he chins you and gets sent off.

How many times has that happened in his career?

We don’t even know the start of it without imagining what might happen elsewhere.
