Being shit and getting relegated while not attending hasn't really bothered me at all. However, I think I am genuinely scarred by the fact we were in a Champions League spot and my dream of seeing the Blades play European football all went tits up due to a fucking virus. It really does eat away at me as it was probably the one chance I'll ever have to see it.

Its been a totally shocking season and one that has put me off Utd. I really thought we were going to become a consistent premier league club under Wilder. The difference in that team is amazingly bad.

Honestly I agree with most of that. It just feel a different type of disappointment from previous relegations.
Maybe it’s just the real bad games this season. I’ll never stop supporting the Blades but that set of players... Naaa!

Look at it this way, pal. I am older than you, and when we were languishing in league 1/Div 3, 5 years ago, I thought I'd never see us in the Prem/Div 1 again in my lifetime. So I am utterly grateful to Chris Wilder and Alan Knill for that. Would I have missed that for the sake of not experiencing relegation? Not on your nelly. Painful as it is, we are the Blades, it's not as if we've never been there before. Sinking into Division 4, now that was painful....

Wilder made some big mistakes since we got promotion contributing to our demise.
His lack of openness to help cost us dear.
Still baffled why he had to sign Brewster when we had glaring need in other areas.
The prince in his interview did make a big thing over this and I can see why a rooky costing a big chunk of the budget.
Having said that Wilder did great getting us to the premiership .
We have to build now on what we have! which is a lot more than when Wilder came in.
The club budgeted for going back down last season so we have an extra year of money. Having taken into account the losses due to covid we are in a better place financially than we ever have been.
The prince has to make sure this strength is not wasted spending years in the championship or we're back to square one.

Breaking into the Premier League and staying there is almost impossible for every club outside the top seven or eight.

Palace, Brighton, Southampton, Watford, Norwich and whoever goes up with them, and even possibly Leicester, Newcastle, Wolves and West Ham will have that one nightmare season again eventually, and they will get relegated again at some point.

It's what you do after you've been relegated that counts
