Didn't the Hibs ownership change a few weeks after Heckingbottom started and he didn't have a great relationship with the new owners. Seem to remember hearing it somewhere, maybe an interview. Basically never had a straight run at it.
Leeds had an ownership change, not sure about Hibs.

He means virtual riots where instead of people chucking shoes they will chuck out a few angry tweets.

Instead of mashing someone's head they will mash the keyboard.

We may even get some fist shaking at the computer screen if things get really outta hand

Warne would be a good shout, if Rov go down.
Warne's getting some flack from certain elements of the Millers' faithful. Not sure it's the right move for him or us.

There are big expectations we will come in with decent resources and deliver on those.

I'm not sure as I don't know where we are as a club right now. I just think the Barnsley bloke will be hated after a few months if results aren't great as the football will be dire. Just my opinion though. If he does come I hope he proves me wrong.
I think you make a rod for your own back hiring a manager that you know deploys attritional football. Style and quality tends to buy a little more time if results go west.

I wonder if the shock factor of how they play is the main reason behind their success. Only time will tell.
They’re not even one of those sides that try and paint a narrative that they aren’t prophets of hoof. They wear it bright and proud. I’ve honestly not seen football like it for 20 years. No ta.

Whilst it's working few will complain but I've even heard Barnsley fans say they're difficult to watch. I'm not personally bothered if my team plays direct, some of our best moments came under Bassett and Warnock, but from what I've seen Barnsley are a step too far into hoofball for me.

Feel like I’m almost past the point of caring atm. Just put us out our misery and give it to the dangerous brothers dream team of Hecky and Tindall. I want a good old fashioned shoes off.

I really can't agree with this. Due to CW's demand to have his fingerprints over the entire club we have basically become a club that only plays on fortmation and all our signings have been brought in to play that formation.

The 1st team, U23's and U18's all play the exact same formation presumably on CW's orders.

Do you really expect anyone to come in as a caretaker and seriously change things around in a short space of time?
The U18s switched to 3 at the back for about 10 minutes yesterday but seem to have played 4 at the back all season.

I'm not convinced with Warne. Done a decent job there but he's still very much unproven with a bigger club and I'm not convinced that he's done enough at Rotherham to merit the step up to us. When we went for Porterfield from Rotherham in the 80's I believe he was managing in the leagus above us having taken Rotherham there so it was a good move for us to get their manager. But Warne's only managed beneath our level and has struggled to keep them up, Warnock did it for example. I know Rotherham are on a small budget, but I'd be inclined to think a very good manager could keep Rotherham up still, Warne's done well but not a well as I'd want to take charge at United. Mark Robins is a much better shout in my view if people look at his record it's largely very good on a budget and in difficult circumstances at Coventry.

And you have to have something else about you, typically being nasty bastards. That football alone will likely see you annihilated in the Premier League.

We've also started playing the ball out from the back more and ditched the hoofball; both of those things were evident before the Brighton game. So I don't agree that he hasn't tried to change things. Maybe he could've changed things more, but he's only had six or seven weeks in charge and he's working with the wreckage left by his predecessor. I don't really hold him responsible for the hammering against Leicester, for obvious reasons; the next few games were definitely poor. But the last couple of games have been much better. Overall I don't think he's disgraced himself, under the circumstances.

Anyway, I think we all agree he's not the man for the job. But I will defend him against some of the criticism he's getting on here at the moment.
I wouldn’t call that better pal other than a win which against better finishing would have been a 2/3 goal loss

I’m still not convinced that ‘this list’ is complete or finished as there’s going to be some managers that will lose their jobs come the end of the season.

I don't particularly want Hecky to get the job, either.

But it is a bit strange that a lot of fans were getting very excited about one guy who has very little experience except as a youth coach (Blessin) but are resolutely against another bloke who has by all appearances done an excellent job as a youth coach for us (Hecky).

But who has been at best bang average, anywhere else he's managed

Yeah, doesn't have a great record except as caretaker at Barnsley but both he and Blessin are quite young men, early in their managerial careers. Blessin has had one good season.

I have no idea what you mean.

Looks like a perfectly legitimate style of play to me.

I reckon this is more common than generally recognised, tbf.

I saw it first hand recently, at Academy level, for several years (not in Sheffield)—all 11-a-side Academy age groups from the 23s downwards played the same way. You could see it every weekend in oppo teams, too. It makes sense on several levels, especially for older academy squads who may have players challenging for first teams.

See also, e.g., the famous Ajax academy style.

If any of these snippets coming out are true you have to question the professionalism and the competence of our club.
