How can someone with Jokanovic’s Championship record, who is out of contract and is known to want a return to England, not be on a shortlist of 5??

Incredibly worrying if true.

Waiting until Heck wins a game to announce he’s on the shortlist is obviously teeing it up to see the reaction.
Agree.
Much as I would like us to get way above 17 points this season, in the circumstances, I will be happy with 17 if Heckingbottom (and Tindall, and Terry, and Appleton) don't get appointed.

I dont know what the rush is. Weve only had the worst season ever, no need to think about rebuilding yet...let's leave it till the last minute, we'll be fine.

6 weeks since Wilder went, we seem to have a short list of 5...of whom 2 are already here...the board are pulling up as many trees as they, can stop complaining, everything will be fine 😂

Corporal Jones will be along shortly gently with a side helping of Private Frasier.

I think the problem with Jokanovic is two fold.
1. He would use us as a stepping stone to what 'he perceives' is a bigger and probably better paid job.
2. We need someone from day one who knows the division, the players and understands the club.
There is a manager at a Championship club who are in the play offs again, who might fit the bill nicely, but is obviously not showing his interest yet.

2. SJ won two promotions. Knows Norwood from Fulham. Plays good football.

Surely not Ishmael? Football is worse than Blackwell.

No not Ishmael however he has done a fantastic job with what he has been given.
SJ has had two promotions and agree about the football but that was four/ five years ago and it depends which one of the two Oliver Norwoods we are discussing
No the one i am thinking of has got more out of Brewster than anyone else, strangely playing him in his most effective position.

No thanks, he's had some success at Swansea but has inherited a very good squad at Swansea, (how many teams can boast Andre Ayew for example on 60,000 a week I would imagine) he has good contacts I will give him that, but no where near enough experience. Would rather Appleton over him, Appleton has got a team promoted and is doing well under a budget at Lincoln.

I'd rather Ismael over him also, what he's done at Barnsley with an ordinary squad is very impressive and his record abroad is reasonable, at least in terms of win ratio.

Yes Cooper.
Interesting that we don't think he is experienced enough however Blessin would be ok?
Also Adam top 6 for United only means another day of despair in North London.
Anyway good debate, thanks

With the top two off the list the other 3 choices left look like a disaster waiting to happen. I hope the board have something up their sleeves.
Leeds fans are having a good laugh as I imagine the wendy are enjoying this as well.

It's worth noting with Heck that clubs often give their caretaker manager an interview out of courtesy.
Like almost all positions. I believe employers are legally obliged to advertise any position internally as well as externally. By default and for want of anyone better, Heck would be the internal person the position is advertised to.

With both Blessin and seemingly Jokanovic now out of the running I dread to think who are the other three candidates if both Hecky and Tindall are the other two.
Just looking on the Rumour Mill there is some debate about the Brugge head coach Philippe Clement and reading PurpleRain's comment about him then he goes straight to the top of my wanted list.
Gerimin for crying out loud.

2. Wilder.

Ive seen micky Adams is out of football atm running a consultancy company, could we make him an offer he can't refuse? Blade too what can go wrong

2. Wilder.
Haha those bridges are well and truly burned with the Prince and Wilder. Would love him to return someday, hopefully he will be allowed to attend as a supporter still.

Blessin will be appointed after a successful appeal. Why would we apply for the permit if we didn’t want him. And then why wouldn’t we appeal?
Exactly this. He must have been offered the job if he has applied for a work permit. No doubt there will be a way around it, a few hundred grand to help someone refurbish their flat would work maybe.

I'll knock you one out in no time and cos it's you I'll do it for half price or my name's not Elmyr de Hory. 🤫

2. Wilder.

Would you really want last season's Wilder back? Awful recruitment, demands full control of transfers, inability / unwillingness to change starting formation, inability to address glaring areas of weakness etc. etc.

Unfortunately, after four unbelievable years, he looked like a man that had run out of ideas, as well as energy to me. I hope the break does him good as he performs at his next club whoever that may be but it certainly won't be Utd.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

There's a list. It's got 5 names on it. One of them is Heckinbottom. One of them isn't Jokanovic. That's all we actually know?
We don't even know the latter, just a purported ITK comment.

Personally, I'm just waiting. If we do go for Heckingbottom or Tindall, then I'll be in 'utterly fucked off with it all' mardy mode.

Until then, patience.

It says shortlist of 5 trying to think of 5 short managers.

I've sussed out the short list of candidates.

Ben Osborn (player manager)
Kylie Minogue
Mini Me from Austin Powers
The corpse of Ronnie Corbett
Lord Farquaad

Out of those I'm favouring Farquaad for his cunning and slyness. He's also foreign but will he qualify under the FA rules? (maybe have Kylie in as assistant to help get the boys to perform)
