Been decent at LCB, developing player. Improved over the season. He's not particularly good with either
Osborne might not have the quality to play at this level, but he looked like he cared & put in far more effort than anyone elseBeen decent at LCB, developing player. Improved over the season.
Not the worst player on the pitch tonight. I’ll dig those three out:
Osborne
Norwood
Lundstram
Yeah. He was like the fan that won a competition to play.Osborne might not have the quality to play at this level, but he looked like he cared & put in far more effort than anyone else
Erm, we are a lot worse than Chelsea.Always said if not good enough for Chelsea why would he be good enough for us ?
Exactly, that guarantees we will always be worse then Chelsea if we sign players that can't make their first team. Wake upErm, we are a lot worse than Chelsea.
I think we should concentrate on being better than a good few other teams before we turn our nose up at Chelsea rejects.Exactly, that guarantees we will always be worse then Chelsea if we sign players that can't make their first team. Wake up
So our ambition is to be as good as Chelsea's third team?I think we should concentrate on being better than a good few other teams before we turn our nose up at Chelsea rejects.
I don’t even think we should be dreaming of aiming that high. If we could have a good go against their U23’s in the Checkatrade trophy or whatever it’s called nowadays after relegation next season I’d be happy. So our ambition is to be as good as Chelsea's third team?
You're right (again) mate. Fans of Pub sides applaud players for running about and putting in effort. We're in the most cutthroat and ruthless league on the planet and we're talking about effort?Yeah. He was like the fan that won a competition to play.
play the u23 lad on the bench
Ampadu was left horribly exposed by an invisible midfield for their 3rd. Yes one of the best strikers in the league stole a yard on him and that's all he needed, but come on the colossal cock-up of the night has to be Lunny's assist.
Let's not forget Ampadu plays for the full Welsh side. The lad's no mug he just plays with a bunch of muppets

Or as another wise man said “man who go to bed with itchy bum wake up with smelly finger”You're right (again) mate. Fans of Pub sides applaud players for running about and putting in effort. We're in the most cutthroat and ruthless league on the planet and we're talking about effort?
As a wise man once said, they don't deserve praise for that - it's a given...
Lack of quality is what's hurting us, and has hurt us all season. Osborn is a tryer but has very little quality...
We have 3 in midfield because we have 5 at the back. Try 4 at the back and 4 in midfield?Beaten for pace for their third. I think it's been a problem for us that our backline isn't dynamic enough. They should be dropping deeper a yard, then pushing up, then dropping two yards, etc all the time, keeping themselves in the optimal spot if a danger situation arises. Instead we tend to be caught flat footed, lacking awareness and concentration. The defence are positioned far too high on this occasion. To be fair to Ampadu he's the only one who's sprinting backwards, but he's just not fast enough. Egan has been sloppy quite often this season, but seems to escape blame.

For their first goal, our midfield is unable to keep up with play as Arsenal play the ball across the pitch. As Lacazette drops into space there are no midfielders close to him, hence Ampadu breaks out to close him down. We fail to plug the gap Ampadu left behind (note the space between Baldock and Egan and the lack of depth) and Arsenal punish us with some great touches.
For me, another example of our three man midfield being unable to cover enough space, and secondly our defence failing to compensate for one defender forced to breaking out.
